Years Lifting in Relation to Age

I always thought this would be a cool topic and have never seen it. What is your age and at what age did you start working out? I'll start it off:

Age: 22
Started: age 12

23, Started at about 17. But spent 60% of that time in between not lifting.

Then spent the last 8 months losing it all, w00t!

Age: 50
Started: 18

Best shape of my life now!!

Been on the low side of 235. been on the high side of 170...my weight has been all over the place. This is the most constant it has been in 5 years.

Age:39

Influeced by most the men in my family. Grandfather owned a gym. Still learning from guys like you.

Longest I've gone without lifting is 2 months while I waited for Golds Gym to open. :)

Started... probably around 16 or 17 (crappy highschool weight training class) lifted a little bit in college (maybe once or twice a week as time permitted) and now get 3 to 5 workouts a week.

Feels good man.

24 now.
Started PROPERLY at 23

I'd been "lifting" from 19 but any monkey can lift inconsistently, drink heaps of alcohol, have an improper diet, rest inadequately. I only gathered knowledge and executed it over since end of 2008.

doh

Guilty as charged on those last 3!

I am taking steps to improve diet at least... but holy crap I love food (just not to the point of constantly overeating like the baloons that hit the all you can eat buffet multiple times per week). Moderation is pretty much the only thing I do when it comes to diet... well that and stay away from ridiculously fatty snack foods, sodas, and the like.
