I'm heading back to New Orleans at the end of this month. Can anyone suggest any interesting places I should visit? I'm staying at the Alexia right off Canal/Bourbon in the French Quarter. I'll prob spend most of my time on Bourbon.

Cat's Meow I believe it is called. A karaoke bar w/ lots of hot chicks. Pat O's where they made the Hurricane famous. Personally, I don't like the place and a Hurricane is one of the worst drinks in the world. But still it attracts a lot of hot girls. Rick's is a stripper bar a lot of hot strippers there. Don't get the table dance. They pull up a tiny stage and dance in front of you. No grinding no nothing. Sucks. As a general rule stay away from the other strip clubs. It's basically a scam. I dunno what you are looking for so go up and down Bourbon and then decide. One last thing my info. is dated, the last time I was there was 5 years ago. One more thing, a lot of pickpockets on Bourbon. If you are not used to being in bad areas of town stay on Bourbon. Last I heard New Orleans has the highest murder rate (per capita) in the U.S. Hope this helps.

If you want the best bars and drink specials leave downtown, and go to uptown.

Where is the museum? I'll be walking everywhere so if it isn't in the French Quarter I can't see it.

I took a lap top and typed what I got into each day. Here it is for your reading pleasure...lol

Day 1

Before we left for the 5hr drive to New Orleans, I decided to make good use of the time and experiment with LSA. I took 10 packs of Heavenly Blue morning glory seeds and extracted enough for 2.5 doses. I dosed at 11AM thinking that we would be leaving at 12. The effects were very noticeable within 10min. My whole body had a numb sensation. By 1hr my pupils were dilated and I felt mildly nauseous. After eating I felt much better. We left my house around 2:30PM. I wasn’t seeing intense visuals but the clarity of everything was greatly enhanced. It might be best to describe the ordeal as being right on the verge of a good trip but not quite there.

We stopped by Subway to get some food for lunch. I got a few of those new low carb wraps. The girls at Subway knew I was wasted…lol…. Speaking of subway reminds me of a joke. What has 22 teeth, 3 eyes, 7 arms and 8 legs? ……The work crew at Subway…lol…. Anyhow, I couldn’t speak in a normal manner. My girl had to explain what I was wanting. It was so funny. The drive went by quickly because the LSA was very sedative. I just tranced out and read some more of “Blood Canticle,” which seemed fitting since we were on our way to the hometown of Ann Rice. I always get inspired when I go to New Orleans. The place is so bohemian. It seems that f the muses had a hometown; it would have to be New Orleans.

The LSA began to wind down around 5:30PM and we were inside Louisiana. It worked out nicely. Canal St. was packed with weekend partiers as we turned in to our hotel. Many of the people were down for spring break and ready for a good time. Eager to join them, we checked in, I took a Lortab 7.5, and we headed to Bourbon. The bellhop got a kick out of my friend for making a voice message on his cell reminding us of what our room number was. We were just getting ready for a wild night…lol.

There’s nothing like Bourbon on a weekend night! People were packed into the streets, sporting those cheap, glittering beads and funny hats. Laughter and the dull thud of the distant club music were the mantra for the night. The smell of beer and the unique blend of insets and tobacco were perfect for the warm southern night. Our first stop was Lafitte’s Blacksmith Shoppe. It was once the hideout for pirates I believe. The cool thing about the place is that it still has the old masonry inside and is lit by candle light only at night. I had a coffee since I’m in PCT right now and my friend got a Voodoo Dacyri. It was fun to listen to the drunken girls sing along with the piano player. People seem to have no inhibitions on these old streets that seem secluded from the rest of the world by the nighttime.

We left the shope and headed towards Jackson Square to see St. Lewis Cathedral. On the way we came upon a movie shoot for a movie called “At Last”. It is a love story that will be out in about 6 months. It’s amazing how many movies have been shot in New Orleans. It’s just a really cool place. When we got to St. Lewis it was too dark to get any good pics, so I decided to go back the next day.

We were all getting hungry after stopping for a mini photo shoot with some strippers so we went to one of the many Cajun restrants in the quarter. We took a balcony seat and watched the crowd as we ate. No one makes crawfish like the people in New Orleans The remulaude is the best too! I took an endocet (muscle relaxer) and we all headed back to the streets.

I made good use of one of the many adult stores in the quarter and bought a bottle of Pjur Euros Body Glide (Sorry MrsPuddles…lol). The stuff is really thin and lite. I was hoping to hook up with some ecstasy and have some fun but I had no luck. By the time we all got back to the hotel my girl was too tired to do anything. Oh well, there’s always tomorrow.

That’s it for the first day. It is now 1:45AM and I must get some sleep.

Day 2

I woke up at 7AM and made use of the hotel gym. I was only able to work lats which gave me a nice pump to walk around with for a while…lol. For breakfast we went to Café du Monde for beignets and cafe au late. I know, I know…. high GI carbs. Since the café only served coffee and beignets we went to another place for real food. After eating we took a few endocets and went to the French Market and Jackson Square. There was so much beautiful art in Jackson square. I was interested in the image of a woman’s face but I didn’t have $950 to pay for it. I ended up buying an abstract of the nighttime streets of the quarter. The artist’s name is Ven Grebenshikov who is from Russia. He said he was inspired by the nighttime in the quarter. He said that he walks around at 3-4AM and takes photos of things that he later paints. He was a really cool guy that is very talented.

Then we went to St. Lewis cathedral and went inside this time. The vaulted ceiling was awesome with the gilded gold everywhere and images of the saints. As we left there was a homeless lady begging alms in the foyer. I gave her $5 and talked with her for a few minutes. She was an elderly black lady that was very sweet. Between the sax players and wonderful people in New Orleans, I could easily spend too much money.

We had lunch at Taco Bell. I know my diet is screwed…lol. The Nacho bell granda went well with a few endocets. Luckily we went by Hurwitz Mintz to look at antique furniture. While there I met a nice lady who personally knows Ann Rice. I gave her my address and she is going to get Ann to autograph a pic and send it to me. Ann still hasn’t sold here 1st street house but it is up for sale. She seems to be getting very reclusive again. She looked good in the last photo I saw of her. She is an eccentric lady.

Next we went to the pool. There were only a few girls there so it wasn’t as interesting as it might have been. We spent most of the time in the hot tub. I had a good buzz so it was fun to get hot in the hot tub then get cool in the pool. I did that a few times. We were getting hungry so we went to Friday’s to eat. It was funny because the waitress was so high that she messed our order up 5 times…lol. It was cool though. We all got a good laugh out of it. I had a salmon steak and baked potato. I still managed to eat well while having a good time.

Most of the rest of the day was spent on Bourbon Street. We went back to the Boutique du Vampire and walked about Jackson Square some more. I had my tarot read by a guy that reminded me of Marlin Manson. He was really goofy and made up things like that I was creeping on my wife and such. Two transvestites came up after the reading and hovered about for a little while. I almost asked to get my pic with them but decided against it.

After getting some more crawfish tails and coffee we watched a guy in the street create paintings of outer space with spray paint. It was a totally new technique that he was ripping out to the sound of Pink Floyd. He was in his own world while he painted. He didn’t even seem to notice that a crowd had gathered around him. We were kind of worn down from the past night so we called it a day around 12AM.

Day 3

I woke up around 9am. Yeah, the weekend is catching up with me. It isn’t so bad though because I haven’t touched a drop of alcohol the whole time. That is the benefit of having your own personal pharmacy…lol. For breakfast we went to one of my favorite places, Café Beignet. I had a crawfish omelet with New Orleans Chicory coffee. Good stuff! It was nice outside with the morning scents of the bakeries overpowering the dank odor of Bourbon. We had to laugh as we passed the shopkeepers that were spraying the beer and bottles off the sidewalks as we walked back from the café.

We decided to just walk all over the quarter for the remainder of the day. There are so many little niches that one could walk around for quite a while without seeing everything. We went by the Praline shope and bought a med praline. Sugar is so good…lol. Then we went to CC’s Coffee House and I got a caramel café au late. We walked all the way down to Esplanade and then over to Dauphine. There is a great restraunt at 900 block of Dauphine called the Quarter Scene. I give it 5 stars out of 5! The place was really awesome because it had frescos on all the walls and dada art everywhere. The music playing was a mix of techno and classic. I had a bowl of gumbo, grilled chicken breast & veggies, and wild rice. We will def be going back there.

It seems like we went in several art galleries. It was great because you get to meet the artists. The lady I spoke to said that she creates to honor the earth & nature. She called her work “assemblage” and said that it depicted the creation of the cosmos. She was very nice and gave us passes to the local “Art in Bloom” festival. Talking to people here is always fruitful. Speaking of people, we had our first run in today. Some drunk guy walked right up to my girl and tried to grope her. I pushed him back and told him to keep on walking. I was hot, but I knew he was just wasted.

After wandering in the heat for a while we went to the Conti Musee wax musium. It was good to get inside with some air conditioning. The wax figures were kind of cool too. I liked the vampire meets wolfman the best. (The Vampire would kick ass…lol). The Voodoo Authentica was just up the street and we went there to look around. I ended up getting an alligator foot key chain. I thought it would make a nice gift for someone.

My girl and I decided to have some fun so I dropped a cialis and we kept our selves occupied for a few hours. Afterward we walked down to Congo Park to meet up with a friend. We all ate at Moon Wok. I love Chinese…lol. I ate like crazy. All that sex worked up an appetite. It was getting dark and we decided to go by the Boutique du Vampire again. They make their own cologne and perfume and we wanted to check it out. The scent is like fresh roses. I bought a votive candle of it. Buying candles there is fun because they hand pick them for you based on how you answer questions. As the candle burns it will reveal 3 charms that are specifically for the buyer.

I was running low on endocets so we went by an herbal shop to see what they had. I didn’t see anything that looked too promising so I decided to experiment with the Saliva Divnorum. It was the straight stuff so it wasn’t too strong. I got some cherry inscentes and went by the Royal Coffee & Tea House. My girl and I got mocha and I took the opportunity to try the Saliva. The night was warm with a nice cool breeze. The Coffee house is very secluded and much quieter than bourbon so no one even noticed me lighting the small pipe that I had just bought. The high is short-lived and very similar to weed. It was a total waste of money in my opinion.

OK, I broke down and had a 151 Pena Colada. I hope the 40mg of Nolva I took will do the trick for estrogen. We went to a few clubs on Bourbon and wanted to go somewhere different. I wanted some more crawfish so we went to the Alpine over on Decatur St. I ordered 1lb and we sat out in the courtyard to eat. When the waiter brought the tray it was unpeeled crawfish. I ate a few then just paid and left. They were all concerned. I told them that it was just too much work to peel them…lol.

We ended up back at Café du Monde for beignets and café au late. I know I couldn’t have picked a worse meal before bed but everything else was closed. After eating we went back to the hotel and called it a night.
