Who got you into bodybuilding?

  1. Who got you into bodybuilding?

I remember when I was a little kid I used to watch Arnold movies all day. I used to idolize Arnold as a kid, I still do. I wanted to be like just like Arnold. Then I started watching Stallone films and recently Bruce Lee. All these guys have been a big inspiration to me and I think if I didn't watch all those Arnold movies as a kid I might have never got into body building.

  2. The Staff members of Tryon. A juvenile detention center in upstate NY. some were retired BB'rs, martial arts instructors, bouncers, etc.

Gained 30 lbs in 8 months. Been a habit since.

  3. myself. being 130 wasn't that bad, but after dental surgery and hitting a low of 124 at 5'9" and 29 years old, i realized that if i were to get an infection, or a nasty flu, i didn't have much weight i could afford to loose without massive internal organ shutdown. for me, hitting sub 130 was the breaking point.

  4. my dad, he had all the muscle mags and would talk about when he lifted in college during the time when arnold was comin up. i gues he just inspired me to lift.

  5. Technically just myself. Issues with anger, that needed an outlet, and the iron seemed to be the least breakable thing. Fell in love, and it has been a great relationship ever since!(with the iron that is)

Werd! They'll lock you up for that in upstate NY. Problem is, you probably have to smoke some pole to survive once you get locked up.

  9. ....Conan the Barbarian, and Major "Dutch" from Predator.

  10. I've always been an athelete, played sports through high school and college. But I'd have to say, growing up reading M&F, and seeing physiques like Samir Bannout and Rich Gaspari was a big motivation.
    Think training's hard,. try losing!

  12. My ex-gf. No she wasn't working out or anything. She was drinking 5-6 days a weeks, smoking (I was too). On January 1st, I woke up and realized how much I'm f...ing sick of it. I broke up with her in the same day, quit smoking that the same day after 7 years of smoking and went to the gym. The rest is the history.

  13. My father when I was 11. I was always big, wrestled in the 180's at 14. So he wanted me to put my size to constructive use. Haven't looked back since.
