Opportunity to Play Semi-Pro Football for Hometown

I'm interested in being a defensive lineman, like none other than James Harrison from the Pittsburgh Steelers (team politics aside, please.)

Any tips from those of you who have experience playing football?

5'8 & 215lbs? I'm not so sure about DL bro. But never say never...

You may have a better chance at tyring out for OLB or a Safety position...you still get to play plenty of physical football at those positions

and yes...James Harrison is OLB for Pittsburgh. He uses his shorter frame (sound familiar OP....) for underneath leverage on bigger, slower, tackles. Then again he is also as strong as a Clydesdale horse and can German Suplex people like I've never seen haha.

ur too small for d-line. OLB if u can put on 10 lbs ud be great for...you could probably play safety at ur current weight or u could drop 10-15lbs and be a corner...i think d-line is out of the question tho for you Rudy.

Yeah, a bit small for d line. I played semi pro a few years back, there are some very big competetive dudes that play. It is a blast! For guys who didn't go to college and still love the game(like myself) it is a great way to relive the glory days.
