2009 Tax filing

Would it be wise to file taxes as soon as possible given we have a new president, or does it not even matter until next year? I want to maximize my return and wonder if the new administration could mess with that for this upcoming filing time either in a good way or bad way.

No need to worry about your taxes for this upcoming April. It would be next years that you would get the hit, if you're even affected.

I would go ahead and file them, as I did mine. Nothing should change as far as taxes are concerned until the time to file 2009 taxes.
