I just got back from the local card club. It did not go well.
Let's just say that I averaged out $2.56 in earnings per hour. LOL
Damn, I played for a long, long time, too.
I wouldn't even have ended up positive if it weren't for some drunk rich guy who had never played before. I took over 1200 dollars from him in two hands and then GTFO of there.

Will probably go back tomorrow after the Vikings game and see if I can't make a tuition payment

No no, I committed and almost ran empty to zero, took 1200 from him, broke even with a little to spare and got up and left. I only played for about 9 hours.

What game were you playing? I love playing 1/2 nl Hold em cash games. So many people come in with their sunglasses and big bluffs, its awesome. I dont think i've played againt more than 10 people this year that knew how to play the game.

I'm thinking about heading to AC next week and trying my luck.....I got my Oakleys and I've watched the WSOP on ESPN several times, so I think I'm ready to compete with the big guns! (Joking :lol

Right now I play local games, while im home in chicago. Back in jacksonville they have a casino cruz that i'll go too, or ill try and find a home game.

atlantic city sounds fun, i've only been to a few casinos, the double edged sword of that is most places give free drinks. So you gotta be careful not too drink too much, unless your there just too have fun.

haha, whats scary is people really think like that, i guess they dont realize that at live tables......you dont get too see everyones hand.

I play at Canterbury card club about 30 miles outside of mpls. The games I play depend on how much cash I've got. I usually play 4/8 or 8/16. I was playing 15/30 the night I posted this thread.

I've been to AC a few times. One time I played in a 100 person NL tourney and got T8 and we split. Walked with 750 after tipping the dealers. Also played 1/2 NL cash games a few times. Its all about picking your spots.

My favorite game ever was at Vegas. We had a 1/5 Spread Limit game (bet anywhere from 1 to 5, capped after 3 bets). It was at this hole in the wall on the strip. Got wasted off the free drinks and actually woke up with a couple hundred dollars in my pocked after buying in for like $40. Great game, but have only seen it in that one casino.

My policy is only to drink in limit games, because if you make a stupid play or call, you're not losing your stack.

I haven't played in a while, but I still keep up with my game. I have an account at StoxPoker/CardRunners and make sure I brush up on my skills with some of their videos.

If I had my old files, I'd put up some of my PT graphs for you all.

I used to play a lot of 1/2nlhe cash, 1/2plo, 5/10lhe, 5/10lo8; all online - 4-6 tabling. I started to get real into stud. I played a lot of eight or better for a while there.

Break-even days aint too bad, Rugger. Imagine being Durrr or CTS, having 350k downswings in a few hours.

limit, yeah. The club I play at only uses no limit within tournaments.
