Good luck eating thin and being broke. All but top elite sprinters make enough for a living. Especially in an event like the 100m.

Either that or you are in college, and don't know about that yet.

Guess what, powerlifting and bodybuilding is a sport. An athlete is generally considered someone who participates in a sport.

If nascar drivers can be considered athletes, so can we.

DUDE! Take it easy on the insults. I don't think I will be able to sleep at night if you keep beating down my ego with these meathead responses. It's almost as if there's some connection between increasing lean body mass and decreasing intelligence. Hold up man.... I play softball for my church, I play bball with friends, and I train my arse off in the gym....who the hell are you to tell someone they are not an athlete. Especially someone who probably has put more blood and sweat into their body than you.

But I was a wrestler back in HS, until I screwed up my left arm, which still hinders me to this day, a good 5 years later.

Not every one has the opportunity to be on a team. Other than for fun recreational, I have ZERO opportunities.
