What do you think about Keyshawn Johnson ?

This intrigues me 'cause I believe this is the first time I've seen a team "deactivate". IOW, they kicked him out of the team for having a big mouth. I personally think it's about time some of these players get embarassed for acting like God's gift to football. I'd also like to see Marc Bulger and Donovan McNabb deactivated so the 49ers can make the play-offs

2 sides to every story. Basically Keyshawn is a problem but not anymore of problem than say Terrell Owens. Its not like Keyshawn is on the sidelines in the middle of a game screaming at a coach. Gruden is an egomaniac. No one on the Raiders cried when he left. Not one assistant went with him and not one player spoke out to keep him. He can't take criticism even when its constructive. Now John McKay Jr. is being pushed out of Tampa, because Gruden can't take any other authority than his own. I don't even like Keyshawn, but this is more about Gruden than anything else.

I think he is more overated than most in the NFL. I've seen him countless times running his mouth to the coaches, players, etc. He was even talking $hit on Marvin Harrison one time. I'm glad that he got benched. There's no place in the league for that crap, especially when he can't back it up.

gruden is an *******, keyshawn is an *******, sapp is an *******... god I hate the bucs... anyway, I agree that there's no place in the league for that stuff and the thing is, you have people like randy moss who learn how to calm down, work themself INTO the TEAM, and serisouly back up whatever claims they may have made through hard work, building upon your natural talents and understanding your role instead of jacking off to the camera every chance he gets. T.O. runs his mouth more than he should and he admits it, hopefully we'll see changes there too but hell, he has more talent in his ball hair than keyshawn has in his whole body. rant over.

What do you want to bet that Keyshawn will be playing for the cowboys next year? I guess no one wil be giving him the damn ball for the rest of the season. Terrell Owens is 500 times worse than Keyshawn though.

The talking and bull**** is part of the game. If you cant take it then don't play. People intend to strike your emotions. Looks as if Keshawn got to Gruden and he couldn't take it. If some one contributes to the team "on the field" then who cares what they say. They didn't loose 6 games because Johson said something. THEY JUST LOST. It happens in the NFL. I don't even like Johnson (as a player or a personality) but I hope they loose every game from here on out because the problem is not with Keshawn. And another thing. Its an act. The way Johsnon, Sapp, Owens, Warners Wife, Vanderjack, Janikowski, Romanowski, Sharp, Parcells, Martz, Gruden and others act is just an act. Its just a show that surrounds football.

He is more talk than action. Owens and Sharpe run their mouths but they put up numbers.

Keyshawn stats: Most tds in a season 10....in 1998
    TD's in 2001: 1
    TD's in 2002: 5
    TD's in 2003 in 10 games: 3

He thinks he is the best but he is not even in the top 5 active receivers. Just to name a few who are better: Moulds,Harrison, Randy Moss, Owens, Rod and Steve Smith, Holt, etc.

    Damn brother, that took balls.
At least the their own fans see it too. Johnson is so overated that it sickens me to see him play and talk his $hit. I love it when he gets proven wrong though.

And with game announcers like Madden, ALL players will be overated.

Once again, I don't like Keyshawn but he is the third fastest receiver to 600 receptions and will go over the middle to take the hit and still catch the ball. He's a little over-rated but not by much.

The most under-rated receiver in the game today is Rod Smith, IMO.

In 2003, he wasn't even the #1 receiver on the Bucs he was the #3 receiver.

I hope he'll change as a 49ers fan. I know T.O. needs to talk 'cause he's emotional, but he should have never spit on Jeff Garcia's face to the media and cry about the offensive line sucking the first 4 games.

It just freakin disgustes me to see T.O. act up 'cause they need him if they ever wanna make a Super Bowl run. I hope he sucks wherever he goes after he leaves the 49ers, if he leaves.

So where do you guys think T.O. and K.J. will be playing next year?

K.J. - Dallas? Only coach that he respects.

T.O. - Oakland? It's the kind of move I would expect from Al Davis. "Just Win Baby"

I do not hink Parcells likes him. Parcells was part of the reason he was traded to begin with but KJ does not want to admit it b/c of his ego. On top of that, Dallas does not need anymore receivers.

You're probably right about Parcells. What about KJ in Detroit? He would certainly get the dam ball there.

T.O. has been rumored in local radioshows to like Tennessee, Philly, and Atlanta. I don't think he wants any part of Oakland's mess. He does have a house in Atlanta, but the Falcons haven't been too good this year, I know losing Vick affected tthem, but they REALLY SUCK.

KJ would be a good fit with the Broncos 'cause they seem to pay a lot of money for overrated players. The Bills could certainly use him too 'cause their offense is in shambles.

I don't think he could handle being #2 to Rogers once Rogers is healthy. Besides, Mariucci has probably already had his fill of egomaniac receivers when he was in SF, but at least TO produced on the field.

Atlanta- No. Price is the #1 and they paid to get him.
Denver- Maybe but they have Smith who is one of the best
Detroit- I doubt it b/c of the reasons by Tatortodd

No doubt he will get picked up by someone though.

I thought this was funny. Keyshawn needs to get a clue:
He believes Gruden made the decision to deactivate him, not McKay, who traded two No. 1 draft picks to acquire Johnson from the Jets in 2000.
"He had to be in support of it, but Rich McKay did not want to do it. Nor did the owners, the Glazers," Johnson said, adding that he doesn't think McKay will be back with the Bucs next season..

Bro, Rod Smith has been declining lately, I wouldn't be surprised if Shannahan threw major cash in T.O.'s face. I think Smith also benefited a lot from Elway.

I could see going after TO but not keyshawn.

Rod Smith is #19 in the league this year for yards and you have to remember Denver did not even have a quaterback for a few games. But you are correct that he is declining but that tends to happen when you are 33.

Hey Size, at least Rod Smith is better than Keyshawn. IMO, Keyshawn has been an overhyped player. He's a solid possesion receiver, but nothing special.
