I voted no, because I haven't yet, hopefully by next year I'll be in.

If some of you want to take the time to post more about their MOS/Rating, experiences, pros/cons, funny sh*t, etc......it would be appreciated!

Thank you for your service, everyone who voted yes here!

I laugh everytime I hear OCS, I can't help it after reading Richard Marcinko's book. :D

I'm hoping for next year! No OCS, Enlisted.

For the record, I don't believe everyone should serve in the military, but I do believe that everyone should service their country in one way or another. I believe this would dramatically increase the maturity levels of many adults for the better. I do not believe that this should be forced upon anyone, but it would be nice if Americans actually felt a responsiblity to give back to their country.

I tried getting in a few times, different branches. They wondered what the scars were from and why I ran FUNNY :) . I felt like the hunchback dude in 300 that got denied, just kidding, hind site is always 20/20, I wouldn't be where I was now if I got in.

Your service is much appreciated, props to ya all.

When I meet a Vietnam vet I about break down everytime when I think about how they were treated when they got back.

I don't think everyone should have to serve. I like how it is in Starship Troopers, where you have to serve to vote. Seems like a good idea.

No im not LE. I provide sercurity for PL1 resources.

OSI or regular cop?

Just a regular cop for now....
Cool. OSI is a great opportunity if if ever opens up for you. You can basically transfer out of it into a 6 figure government job whenever you want if you get the training.

Not wishing to make light of the situation in Afghanistan but CHANNEL 5 on UK tv have been running a fly on the wall documentary series called WAR ZONE , about the UK troops based at Kandahar Must say theyve thought of everything for the guys stationed there, regardless of nationality=3 gyms- massage palour with thai women (all above board of course), ice rink , subway burger king etc . shops, market, 3 canteens and most dont go outside the camp/ So whilest not trying to take away the importance of the role the troops play, it did shed a different light on this particular war.
