need some serious advice

what do you do when you have a home and are being terrorized by a next door neighbor.Said neighbor is constantly making remarks trying to get you into a fight and the cops refuse to do anything about it.

oh and the neighbor's father is also a lawyer.this is all happening to my sister and brother in law.they have 2 infants at home and the me and my brother in law work shift work .i know this guy is trying to get them to cross the line so he can file a suit .i mean do they buy a spy cam? hire a pi? a lawyer wont do anything

oh and just to give you a idea what a low life this man is, while my sister was pregnant with my niece they got into a argument. well the neighbor told his wife to "kick the ***** in the stomach".i am beyond frustrated,all i wanna do is drive to this man's home and beat the holy hell out of him. any and all help/advice is welcomed

Ask a lawyer if a home surveilence system might be helpful. I'm sure there's technicalities and subtleties as far as what you can and can't say/do to a person legally, and if he's really pushing it eventually he'll screw up on tape.

The PC idea is make friends with a cop and get him involved.

The not so PC idea

wear a ski mask and teach this guy a lesson but not at his home do it while he's coming out of a store or something at night. Or same idea but use a stun gun to give this guy a jolt.

get a surveillance system, put it in in when you are sure no one will see, include a night vision one, purposefully put something nice n the lawn with the cameras watching it, you already know what will happen.

eh, start wearing a recorder while you are outside, if you are on your property outside, anything recorded is fair game i believe. Threats such as that kick the stomach one, doesnt matter if his dads a lawyer, evidence is evidence.

find out when he's not there, and put either a skunk, or dead opossum in the crawlspace under his house. be wary of spy cameras while doing this - a man who is trying to goad you into action either has 1: cameras on their side, or 2: a preexisting injury that you will mysteriously "cause".

1 - get your own camera, as suggested above
2 - place a nail under one of his tires, supported against the tread
3 - sugar in the gas tank is an old favorite
4 - if he has a wife, get him a subscription to gay porn
5 - call his work, and leave a message with his boss - you work at the post office, and his inflatable goat arrived.
6 - goad him into a fight... while your camera is running... call him an "a$$ ramming c0ckma$ter" that practices on chickens
7 - leave dog poop in a flaming bag and ring the doorbell
8 - used transmission fluid smells like crap, and can easily be dumped in a car with the windows ajar...

thats all i got. wish i had more.

on a more serious note, if his dad is a lawyer, he most definately has a camera somewhere. he knows its his word against your families, and he probably has backup, or an eye witness. do any of my ideas with a ski mask, and a trenchcoat. get your own camera, and get him to take the first swing. you also might be able to place a verbal restraining order or something similar on him - IDK what the rules are on this.

i had a neighbor that used to park on my lawn. i "accidentally forgot" and left a bunch of nails out there one day.

You can always hire an off duty cop to watch this and since an officer watched it, it's a done deal, it's perfectly legal to approach cops and ask them that, tell him your situation, that you want to pay him to be there so he can observe your neighbors criminal behavior, because nothing else will work and you're afraid that he's gonna do something to your wife and kids when you're not around.

A surveillance camera w/audio is also perfectly legal and CAN be used in court. if you have a camera on you or voice recorder in FL and you are recording without consent, you cannot use that in court, unless it's an "official" sting operation, again more Criminal Justice BS.

But a Home surveillance system that films in all areas relevant to your home is 100% legal and can be used in court for a conviction.

Honestly, I think that's your best solution, wife and kids that have no protector, neighbor that can lie to convict you, lawyer, there are "criminal" but just ways to put him away for good and other means, but most people cannot carry them out without getting caught, this is already posted so you have a connection to it(weak but still).

Honestly, someone tells his wife to kick "the b*tch in the stomach" referring to my sister.......wow....that would be a turning point in my life, I would gladly spend time in prison if I'm caught to keep someone like that and his wife permanently away from my sister if all other means fail.

thanx for the feedback guys.this is def frustrating as hell.i wanna just drag him out of the house and beat the holy hell out of him but that would only complicate life for me my fiance and my sisters family.the skunk and possum idea is good,i personally wanted to put a garden hose in his basement window and turn it on and see how long it takes to fill it up.

this situation is further complicated by my sisters health problems.any and all stress is hard on her right now.i am looking into spycams now

sounds like I would definitely use some sort of surveillance then. it can never hurt to speak to a lawyer and see what you can do legally

yep thought of that...they have actually spoken to 2 lawyers..since he hasnt actually done anything there is nothing that can be done..or anything they can prove..

i actually had a neighbor like that, I would make a huge scene basically calling him out in the street so that neighbors would watch to see what was going on, I would challenge his "manhood" for not coming out in the street to settle things, and he quit after being belittled in front of the whole neighborhood.
