Finding a GOOD personal trainer

I am looking for a way to find a good personal trainer I can work with to develop a program to work around various injuries. I don't want trainers in the gym who will give me cookie cutter approaches. I probably know more about what I need on my own more than they do. I need someone who really understands the body, the mechanics, and how to tailor a program specifically for me and my situation. Is there anywhere anyone would recommend online to search for trainers in a persons area. I am in Northern California.
Thanks for any help.

You should look for a Physical Therapist that has a background in fitness or sports training or. There were a few guys like that at the first gym I was a member of. They knew EVERYTHING about the biomechanics and how to work with guys with injuries that were still serious about working out.
