| Bachelor of Google | Decline bench aswell as FID I have never done decline bench before and I am getting a home gym. The problem is the FID bench has no foot support and I am wondering if I should look into getting a decline bench? I will be using it for decline DB press and decline skull crushers. This is what I have coming ![]() And this is an example of what I am considering adding: ![]() |

| Registered User | your preference. i always prefer the foot rest just cuz im afraid ill slide back on the bench otherwise. youd have to have someone holding your legs down if youre gonna decline, at least until you get into position |

| Registered User | If you're going to be doing decline DB press or ab work, I would think the Ankle support is necessary. Without it, you are putting a lot of stress on the back of your knees and hamstrings to try and support your weight, as well as expending more energy, thus detracting from your lifts. You never know too, you might just slip off, I wouldn't want you to crack your noggin. |
