sex before lifting?
IDK if this is even in the right part of the forum, but it will do. I was wondering if having sex before hitting the gym takes away from your drive. I feel like if I have sex before I lift my lifts are lower. Might be because testosterone is going to your nuts to make more sperm, I don't really know. If anyone has some insight into this issue I would like to know. Thanks.

Hell, after sex I just want to sleep...I don't have anything scientific to back it up but none of the athletes I knew would even think of having sex prior to their events.

I beleive there are hormonal changes that occure after sex. Dont ask me why, but I think there is some aromatazation after gettn off (along wit ha prolactin increase.. etc)
I generally tend to wait until after sex.
Also, I have found that being horey as hell also adds to my drive.

At my age I think sex before a workout is great (its also my cardio - I have to catch her first)
I find that my lifts are low as well...I can live with that.

There was a study done i think someone posted it here. Intercourse helped women but decreased workout intensity for men.

it was bad...very bad. It was the true meaning to "RODEO" sex..what a ride...and it was a while before I got back in the saddle.

I remember in one of my college biology classes that the reason for becoming tired after sex is due to a release of tyrptophan after getting off. I haven't done any research into this matter but i'm pretty sure that is correct.

Hey, if I'm still young and grub-like instead of being a glorious Soldier Ant like you folks, how do I go about this? It's sort of a paradox for me.
(Intentionally stupid question.)
