Personal Trainer

Board Supporter
Well, I have forked up the cash and am going to be working with a personal trainer for a little bit.
My plan is to bulk on about 10lbs of muscle, and drop 2% bf.
I need this because I have become stuck in a rut with my current training routine, so he will shake things up with a new lifting schedule.
Hopefully I can get more symmetry in my body, I know certain areas need more work than others.
Plus having somebody there to push me during my workouts is great, I can get "lazy" when lifting on my own, its just boring.
Having somebody to talk to would be great.
Anyway, I will let you know how I get on with this new schedule, and any fun things I learn along the way.

Current Stats:
Height - 5'6"
Weight - 130 lbs
Biceps - 11"
Waist - 26.5"
Hips - 36

Hoping to drop some hips and waist and add some biceps.

Goodluck Karate girl, let us know how it goes. Hopefully you don't know more than him/her...

Actually, my fear is that I understand nutrition and supps much better than him.
When he found out I was a scientist his response was - "wow, cool, like chemicals and all that?"
Hmmm
Anyway, the worst case scenario is that I get some motivation.

Wow!
Yeh, at $55 for a hours session he had better be good.
I didn't sign up for many just in case.
Like I said, I am hoping he will teach me proper form with certain lifts and help me determine what I need to work on.
The diet and supps thing I have down myself.
I am doing three days in a row with him, then I will work on my own again and maybe do a session a month with him to check everything is going ok.
These guys are not cheap, but the normal price (I got the discount price) is $80 a session!
I am in the wrong business :)

Have you considered using FLA Nutrition and Bobo? Since you are paying $55/hour, if it does not work I suggest giving FLA Nutrition a try.

Ok, well I just did session 2 of 3 this week with my trainer, and man, it rocks :)
I am so sore everywhere, much more than usual.
It was nice to have him there critique every single aspect of my technique to make sure the form was 100% perfect on each set.
Tomorrow is leg day, but right now I can barely lift my arms 2 inches :) Oh how I love the pain.
I am glad I spent the money, I needed this boost.
I will probably work with him once a month or so just to keep me on track.
