alternating muscle groups?

if i'm doing like chest & bi's in a session. is there anything wrong with alternating muscle groups as opposed to doing all chest sets then doing all bi sets. i thought i might fatigue less that way. for the experts, what's the difference between doing for example:
3 set chest/3 chest/3 set bi's/3 sets bi's

&

3 sets chest/3 sets bi's/3 chest/3 sets bi's

overall work is the same, but obviously there are differences.
