Question Anaerobic or Aerobic?

I've been wondering about this for a while now:
From what I've read here and elswhere, everyone is born with a certain amount of muscle fiber types, everyone having a predominance of one type. So let's say I have more Aerobic Type I fibers overall. Wouldn't that mean that I'd get better results, fat-loss-wise, from aerobic exercises rather than a HIIT type routine? Moreover, it's my understanding that you can sort of change your ratio of fiber types, but you'll still have a predominance of one type. It's kind of like the way that some people are born sprinters or born marathon runners. Seems like I only really lost fat back when I used to jog a mile or so every night. What do you guys think?
