Knee pain

  1. Knee pain


    Went for a MRI tonight, as the tech was done she turns to me, hands me my films, and says, "now you make sure you call your dr, ASAP, about the mass in your knee?" Come to find out she thought I knew there was a mass there and heck I only went cause I felt pain when I ran, and my Dr thought I pulled something.......

    Anyway, <sigh> this to shall pass, I figure low weight, high reps and what shall be, shall be !!!!!!!!!I have a road race in the AM!!!!!


  2. Hope it all turns out well and you can get back into your regular routine

    I've been wearing a knee brace a lot for my weak knee. It helps a lot. I can lift heavy with no pain and it's just some cheap $10 brace from the grocery store.

  8. I have the MRI films need to get them to my dr, actually my sister is doing that for me today as i am in NY.......so soon i should know something....

  9. Hope things go well for you in the race and the knee gets better. Maybe a little time off will help, I know you train pretty intensely and you just might need a little time. You're just too competitive, people have to stop telling you that you can't do things

  12. My knee started to hurt pretty bad today at about 4 miles. This is not good seeing as I have to report to OCS in 4 days. Any advice WG?

    That sucks. They run your ass into the ground at OCS. If I were you I would get a knee brace to run in. Warm up and stretch (they should have you do this anyways) before you run. Take some motrin before the run to ease the pain, maybe some naproxin for inflammation and hope for the best.

  14. Go to your local drugstore and get the theraputic wraps ( not really a wrap per say) but they work great.....I was able to teach spin last night for a 40 min class , 5 weeks out of surgery!!!!!

    Thanks WG I did that. I am going to put one on tonight before bed. I just hope it was something funny about the way I ran this morning because I will not be able to have a wrap or a brace at OCS it is considered contraband and plus that woudl give them a reason for them to single me out.

    And dont run till you really have to....LOL I know i am a bad one in giving such advice...but its good advice..
