Which music you prefer to like when you lift ?

I've noticed that when I'm blasting music loud it kind of disturbes my concentration, sort of start to forget whats next, or get into it that i'm starting to jam my self when i should be lifting. But when it all quiet , it gets to be more difficult to complete your routine. Also i noticed workouts tend to be much more longer when i'm listening music.
Whats your best vibe when you workout?
here is my best tunes:
Mayhem- De mysteriis doom sathanas
Emperor- Anthems to the welkin at dusk
Satyricon- Dark Medieval times
Enslaved- Vikingligr veldi
Ildjarn- Det Frysende Nordariket
Darkthrone-first two black metal albums

I listen to all 5 of DMX albums, all of bone thugs N harmony's albums, and maybe some Rap from the south. DMX is what really focuses me. I noticed that's what Ronnie Coleman had playing in a few of those video clips in another thread.

I can't wear headphones in the gym because it definately distracts me; however, if the gym stereo is blasting, it doesn't bother me at all, may even help me some. There's only two bands that get me going in the gym: Metallica and Korn.

Anything strong or fast paced. Rap, nu metal( I guessed it's called, disturbed, linkin park etc) My mp3 player gives me a good rush for workouts. I lose a lot of motivation when not listening to music.

It has got to be heavy what ever it is. I also can't stand to have headphones on, that's why I miss my old highschool weight room with huge floor speakers jammin' out to some heavy sh**.Invalid Link Removed

when running sprints: rap: first DMX album, Redman Time 4 sum aksion, etc.
when lifting: whatever crap they are playing at the gym, usually 2yr old house.

Actually he changed his name back. He was having some sort of dispute with the record label before I think? Prince and Boys II Men is tight. Sometimes I listen to R&B/Soul when working out. Usually during cardio though. R. Kelly makes some good music.

pantera, dmx, 2pac, godsmack, anything that makes my head nod and pisses me off when i listen to it....i think my mp3 player has been the best workout supp i've ever bought...of course i havent juiced yet.

Damn, your straight up hard core :p

It takes a pretty big man to w/o like a little girl!

I tend to gravitate more towards death metal for my workouts, as the inherent anger and intensity of the music really helps me to get fired up. Some of my favorites include:
Rotting Christ
Nile
Centinex
Amon Amarth
Vader, etc. etc. etc., there's way too many to list fully

I like things like Ministry White Zombie and Korn but my home gym doesn't have a radio in it,so when i lift i lift in silence. I like to hear the weights because my landlords living room is right below my workout room. Not that she would mind a little noise it's just that i wouldn't like noise so i like to keep as quite as possible. I don't tiptoe around the room while working out,but i also don't put the weights down hard.
