Things that have helped me overcome shoulder problems!
Hello fellow AM'ers,
Have had shoulder problems on and off for about 7 years now. Through trial and error, research, physical therapy, massage therapy, and doctors visits
I have found ways to prevent, treat, work around, and overcome my rotator cuff/shoulder issues.
Prehab:
Foam rolling with roller or pvc pipe 10-20 minutes
THERACANE ( IMO pretty much replaces a massage therapist)
Stretches:
Posterior capsule stretch (sleeper stretch)
Pec stretch in doorway
Pec minor corner stretch ( hands down, supinated, lean into corner)
Lat stretches of all sorts
Supplements:
Bulk Cissus - 6 grams daily
Fish Oil - 10-20 grams daily
Skeletal Balm - pre/post workout
Exercises/warmup:
YTWL'S
External rotations
Wall slides
Face pulls or band pull aparts
These are just some things that have helped me get through my shoulder injury, and be training injury free
For the first time in years! Also, even if my shoulders feel fine I ALWAYS ice for 10 minutes afte
An upper body workout. Hope this helps anyone with some shoulder woes!
BK

First of all, congrats for the pain free training. I almost have to go under hypnosis to remember the last time i trained completely pain free.
Do you happen to have a link for the stretches / exercise warm ups? Not familiar with YTWL'S at all and it would be great to see illustrations of the others.
Going through a shoulder thing myself right now. I'm using a gel containing Camphor and Menthol which helped dramatically with my knees a year or so ago so i'm hoping for big things.
Also considering Bulk Cissus.

Band Work and Stretches is the best thing I've found you can do..

I'm most impressed you take the time to do all that. I know how to make my shoulders feel better, but I'm lazy about getting it done.
I think ART is worth it when things get bad.
What cissus product do you use?
