I think it depends on the muscle fibre type. I would venture that predominantly slow twitch fibers like the ones in your calves, forearms and abs would recover the fastest.

OmarJackson is right - it depends on the muscle fiber make up. I remember reading in Arnold's book that the low back is the slowest muscle group for recovery.
