sex and testosterone production

I was wondering how frequent sex affects the testosterone production? I know when I was in the Army if I did it the night before a PT test and the morning of the test it would affect my performance on the PT test. Does frequent sex cause an increase in test production or decrease? Or neither? Just curious.
