Time of day to dose M-Drol

I posted this question in the steroids section with no luck for an answer.

What I'm thinking is, instead of dosing first thing in the morning then in thew afternoon before an after work work out, why not dose it in the afternoon before a work out, then in the evening before bed. Why would you dose this at a time of day that your body is doing the least amount of growing?

I have heard the argument that your body produces its own test at night so don't dose at night to help minimize shutdown. BUT with a substance like mdrol, you are gonna get shut down hard anyway so why not maximize on your gains?

Any answers to this?

And taking it every 12 hours doesn't seem like an option for something with an active life of 6-10 hours
 
Active life or half life?

These are not synonymous terms... ;)

EDIT: I would just dose it evenly. Have you used SD before? You might not need more than 10mg per day anyway. I respond to 10mg and 20mg is debilitating via awful back pumps. I'm not sure that it will matter when you take it, AM vs PM, if you are doing a straight cycle...pulsing would likely be a different story though.
 
I will be taking 20 mg. ED. I think instead of first dose when I wake up and the next one approx 8 hours later, I will take one a couple hours before my workout then another 6-8 hours later when I go to bed.

And I do concur that those two terms are not synonymous, but I don't believe half life is the correct term for compounds like these. These things are active in your body for the active life before they are broken down and no longer the same thing you ingested. As opposed to a decay like a radioactive isotope. Correct me if I'm wrong, because I very well may be.

Do you have evidence thats true? because I didn't feel it was any more suppressive than epistane.

Also, have you considered that the whole reason they say you grow more at night is because your test levels are highest? For a steroid its better to dose during the day so you can keep calories + protein high the whole time it is in system.

Steroids have a half life, which will in turn dictate their active life. In extreme cases, some steroids are said to have a half life that is days or even weeks long. This makes their active lives very long indeed. FWIIW, different esters have different half life durations.

Sorry for the lateness of a CEL rep showing up haha...but I'd dose it during the day. Wanna make sure your protein intake is solid while the compound is active (As eJL said...).

See the issue is that the amount of anabolic activity that comes from something like superdrol is so much greater than your natural testosterone that taking it with your testosterone peak doesn't significantly enhance the superdrols effect however since your body sees so much total androgens in your body it produces less testosterone. Unless you were dosing 30mg a day split in 8 hour incremeents to try and keep as close to steady level as you can get, all you get by taking late is more suppression and then during the day when the superdrol is out of your system you also have less testosterone. It doesn't raise your testosterone level artificially, it just shoves in another compound that does similar work.

It was common back in the 70s + 80s, guys taking dbol would take it all at once in the morning.

As far as the shutdown goes, I just said that because i've seen that it affects people differently. Some get little to no shutdown on a 3 week cycle, some its horrible for. I'm personally towards the little to no shutdown end. At the same time, I dont get the huge strength increases either. Some sure, but nothing like people talk about. I did get the mass increases :D
 
Im taking other support supps in the morning and right before i workout. So im taking the M-Drol right after lunch to prevent suppresion from the other supplements.
 
everyone seems to have a different philosophy on dosing. Trying to figure this one out myself right now. I was sorta making the assumption that it should be spread throughout the day...so if just taking 10, take it 1-2 hours prior to workout, if taking 20, take 10 in the morning and 10 pre-workout (that's if you workout at night), and if taking 30, well. i dunno. either spread evenly every 6(ish) hours during your day (so morning, mid-afternoon, evening/pre-workout). maybe i'm wrong though. maybe 20 pre-workout and 10 in the a.m. is better..)
