    PROMO: Universal Homebrews


    A lot of fellas mix and blend different Universal formulas together, including Intra-Aid, Torrent, EAA Stack, Storm, Shock Therapy and so on. So here's the deal...

    Tell us your favorite "Universal Homebrew: the exact formula and ratios it (how much water, ice, etc.) and why you use this specific homebrew (to achieve what goal). Two lucky winners will get their submitted "homebrew".

    Extra credit--come up with a clever name like "Amazing Anabolic Amalgamation" or something like that there.

    My favorite is mixing Animal Max Protein heres how I do it:

    Universal Vanilla Meltdown
    Animal Max 3 scoops 30g protein/
    EAA stack
    Vanilla Ice Cream 2 scoops 8g protein
    Ice 1 cup
    Whole Milk 10oz 10g protein
    Hershey Hot choc. syrup 1g protein

    I usually try to make at least 50 grams of protein and it only takes a few minutes to make in blender. The taste is amazing. Some times I add bananas or nuts if I have them which makes it even better.

    Here's mine:

    Poor Man's PWO Shake

    1 scoop EAA Nitro
    2 scoops Fruit Punch Ultra Iso Whey
    20 oz. water

    comes out to:
    Cal - 308
    Pro - 40
    Carbs - 35
    Fat - 0

    Throw it in the freezer for a few to get it nice and chilled.

    Sometimes I'll add a scoop of Vanilla Milk & Egg protein.

    I typically will mix 1 scoop IA with 1/2 scoop Eaa Nitro but for longer sessions I will do 2 scoops IA to 1 scoop Eaa Nitro.

    It's a big shot in the arm of complex carbs, protein and aminos to power you through any workout. And it tastes amazing!

    1 scoop Shock Therapy, Grape Splash
    1 scoop Storm, Grape Splash
    1 scoop EAA Nitro (Grape!!!)
    1 scoop Intra-Aid, Blue Raspberry (how sweet would this be in Grape?)
    35-40oz of water - because anything less makes this mix too strong,
    and also because i'm a sweaty italian and i need to drink a lot of h20

    usually, i don't get all of this down during my workout,
    so immediately Post-WO, to whatever is left, i just add my
    3 scoops of Torrent, Cherry Berry Blast (of course),
    that i have pre-measured and carry in old EAA Stack containers.

    if you don't have a good workout, with excellent endurance and pumps,
    and if you're recovery isn't excellent with this...
    then you're doing something wrong.

    A pre- to intra- workout combo that's sure to blow you up -

    This mix was dissolved in about 1L of water. My last bit of Intra-aid went into this concoction during yesterday's workout. I was done with my log, so I figured I'd add all kinds of good stuff to make IA even "awesomer". This was intense.     This one will look somewhat close to others on here, but has some tweaks, is my own, and tastes delicious!

    Broc's Behemoth Builder (how to get skin splittingly swole during your wo)
    1 Serving Intra-Aid
    1 Serving EAA Nitro
    1 Serving Grape Splash Storm
    1 Serving EAA Stack Juicy Watermelon
    Optional addition: ST Fruit Punch -half a scoop for those work outs that are going to be super rough!

    Mix in your Gallon jug, using half a gallon of water. Sip on it throughout the work out and just feel what happens. I prepare it at night in advance of my wo and let it sit in the fridge, so that it is super cold when I take it to the gym.

    I currently take this between my ST+ Gatroade Pre, and Torrent + Animal Nitro post. You could say I like my sugars...

    This is one B Con and I were discussing over in the Old School thread, and I've made a few additions/alterations so that they can all be mixed together while still retaining Universal Nutrition's trademarked delicious flavor.

    Name: UBERVERSAL DRINK

    1 Serving EAA Stack.... Juicy Watermelon
    3/4 Serving BCAA Stack.... Grape
    1/2 Serving Shock Therapy (gotta love the new face).... Grape Splash
    1 Serving(s) Storm.... Grape
    3/4 Serving Ultra Iso Whey.... Tropical Punch
    1/2 Serving Carbo Plus.... Unflavored


    Application:

    This is the ultimate pre/intra/post workout mixable stack (not to be confused with two of the members, EAA Stack and BCAA Stack). I can chug a bit of this freak pre to get me rockin' and ready to rumble, then sip throughout to maintain that energy and attitude, and then finally post to bring on the recovery and muscle growth!!!

    Theory:

    Well fellas, to start we have the EAA Stack. This encompasses all of your essential nutrients needed during your workout... and quite frankly any time of the day for a bodybuilder. Yet, the one place I feel this wonderful supplement lacks is in the BCAA levels. So what's a bodybuilder to do? Why add more of course! Just add in a serving of BCAA Stack, and KABAM! Your intra bases are covered. But wait, what about pre? Rewinding the clock, we can see that we still need a quality energizing supplement to really sweep me off my feet and thrust me onto the iron... that is, if this is to become extreme, which I think it should. So what did I select? Simple, Shock Therapy (and not just because of it's hard-core face-lift) because it's just the key energy supplement I'm looking for, in part because I believe it will work in synegy with both EAA and BCAA Stack to not only produce energy, but to maintain that energy and increase the potency of that energy before, throughout, and even after my workout so that hopefully on leg day I can actually walk instead of suffering from my usual paralysis. *Cracks fingers*, ah, now we come to the strength/power part of the concoction... Storm. I have always had great success with magnesium creatine chelate, and that just happens to be 1 part of the 4 advanced aspects of creatine that storm utilizes. It also has creatine mono, which also works well for me. Next is Ultra Iso Whey. This was chosen because it contains the fastest absorbing kind of whey, isolate, without anything else that might slow down absorption. This will be important during the post phase of my workout, and also during pre and intra. And finally, to top it all off, we have 1 serving of Carbo Plus. Why? Because I needed a way to cause an insulin spike and really shuttle all of these important nutrients to my muscles in a quick and effective way. And what better way than maltodextrin.

    Explanation Behind Flavors:

    As you may have noticed, each one of these Supps. is a fruit flavor, and I picked ones that mix well together. Three are grape, 1 is punch, and another is watermelon. And of course, the last one doesn't destroy the flavor either, because it doesn't have a flavor.

    I agree with you on some of these. But, even though I didn't mention it, I see the theory behind ST, IA, and T. It encompasses the pre/intra/post workout. In fact, Universal, even has a stack called the Anabolic Window of Opportunity. Now, this is supposed to be a mix, however, and they are all 3 different flavors... so I agree with you in that I'm not sure how you could do that if that's what you are saying.

    On a side note, PLEASE MAKE LAVA POPS !!! (don't be racis... er.... supplementist.) Wait, why not just make LAVA Ice-cream.

    Am i crazy or do some of these mixes make absolutely no sense? Whats the idea behind mixing Torrent with Intra-aid? or Shock Therapy with Torrent, or better yet Shock Therapy, Intra-aid, and Torrent?

    I wonder how many people have actually made the drinks they are listing?

    I'm not trying to start and big argument in this thread, I was just hoping the homebrews would stay to mixes that are actually useful (in case maybe someday people including myself wanted to try them)

    But yes, the mix you just listed does look good! I may even try it out sometime.
