| Registered User | does 3-5 days a week depend? hey guys, i'm new to this site and fairly new to weight training also. i'm trying to bulk up during summer for soccer in the fall, and i keep reading that 3 days of weights is better than 4 or 5 and that the rest in between is important. i definitely understand that, but was wondering if that depended on if you're doing a full body workout each time you lift. if i have been doing legs 2 days a week (Tues. and Fri) and upper body 3 days a week (Mon, Wed, and Sat) would it be ok (or even better) to be doing 5 days a week? thanks a lot, any help would be appreciated |

| Registered User | Theres honestly any number of ways to split up your workout days. Heres mine, basically. chest. back. shoulders. legs. Each has its own day, some cardio afterwards. I'll throw in bis/tris once a month, maybe. But honestly i dont really do them that much. If your training your major bodyparts hard enough, your arms will grow. Then once they get to a good size you can refine them with isolation movements. But ive found that my larger muscles suffer when i spend too much time isolating smaller muscles. |
