Cardio after weight training / Lean Bulk

I was wondering something this morning...

I'd like to add more cardio in my routine than I do now, want to increase it to 3-4 30 min / week.

Since I prefer to do cardio AFTER weight lifting, would I be better to consume a protein shake + BCAA's between lifting and cardio sessions, or would BCAA's only be better in order to burn/limit fat?

BCAA's are always a good idea. I would recommend either keeping the post workout cardio low to moderate intensity or consume some carbs in between if intenisty is high. IMO
 
I would do the low intensity cardio and consume bcaa and shake afterwards. Keep HR around 65%MHR

Thanks, so nothing between actual workout and cardio session? Don't think I'll be in a catabolic state?
(My weight lifting session usually lasts about 1h15)

Just keep sippin' on BCAA's

Thanks man, I think I'll do that...

Right after my actual WO is over, I'll go back to the locker and mix some BCAA's that I'll drink over my cardio session... Then a shake/carbs after.

20 minute post lift HIIT

Try the HIIT program. Warm up 2 minutes before and 2 minutes after you start . Here's how it works. You kill yourself for 20-30 seconds; bike, treadmill, running. 100%! Then coast at 20% for 20-30 seconds. Then go as hard as possible again 20-30 seconds. Do this sequence 10 times. You will be beat to **** and done in 15 minutes. 3 X wk. Try it....PUSSY!

I remember reading somewhere that HIIT cardio is hard on the muscle mass... maybe sipping BCAA would help greatly tho.. what's ur opinion on this?

I concur with what everyone here is saying about sipping on BCAAs during the course / inbetween lifting and cardio. Maybe BCAAs mixed with gatorade?

Also I think HIIT is actually supposed to be MORE muscle sparing than something like jogging for an hour....

Anyone feel free to chime in on that and correct me if wrong!
