Lean Bulk/ Continuous Recomp?
Hey guys, I'm getting ready to start my winter bulk and I have a couple questions. I've been planning to do a lean bulk with about a 300-500 calorie surplus daily. I've been researching how to minimize fat gains while bulking and I saw people say to reduce calories on non training days. I work at a gym 4 days a week, and those are the days I lift, then I'm off for 3 days, rinse and repeat. So does it make sense to bulk 4 days a week with a calorie surplus (lifting), then cut for 2 days with a deficit (just cardio), and rest for one day? I don't wanna inhibit my gains, but if this would help reduce fat gain/ reduce bf all together, I might be for it. So what do you guys think? Thanks in advance

Your bulk will be slower, but it should result in less fat accumulation. Id suggest eating at maintenence on your off/cardio days though considering your trying to bulk. Maybe -10 percent if you really wanted. Like a -10% off days +30% workout days.Training log:

Okay great thanks. And also, I have plenty of ingredients for an eca stack sitting around, so I might throw that in on my cut days, possibly could pack on muscle and lose fat over the winter? Would be awesome if it works well

I do the same as todd with non lifting days but on lifting days I stay between 180-300 usually. Some days ill get up to about 350 but rarely.

Ah ok, as of now I have just been making sure I hit my protein for the day carbs high on training days and fats lower 15-20%.. rest days I just make sure I get in my protein and making sure I don't really go over maintenance or slightly lower. Maybe I will try dropping the carbs a bit on rest days.. I just been liking the carbs lately after coming off a strict cut.

To have a bit more "freedom" carb cycling is a great way to add lean mass & rather simple also.
