Ram the carbs up for the morning and post Wo as well! If your not gaining then add a lil' more food to each meal. If I were you I'd make sure to eat every 2-3 hrs. Sneak in a mid-night snack. And the easiest way to add in the cals. is to drink it. Try some of the better wt. gainers out there. BOOM, instant cals. Also, make sure your pushing it in the gym, by demand your body will require more food, listen to your body...it knows!

Push the intensity up in the gym, eat every 2-3 hrs, eat clean, go for a cheat meal on the weekend but not overboard! Try a high quality wt. gainer OR make your own. I truly believe the key is to have ( for big gains ) a mid-night meal. Think about it, your working hard all day trying to eat all thruout the day, than you go to sleep for 7-10 hrs. w/o eating. That just makes no sense. Try it out, good luck.

Hey guys thanks. I will try to sneak in a good snack as late as i can. What should i add carb wise to my meals??

You really need to hit up a site like FitDay to track your food intake day to day, at least until you get a handle on it. The numbers may surprise you as to what you are really eating vs what you think you are eating (calorie/macro wise).

Also, it's impossible for anyone to tell you how much to eat without know your stats - age, weight, BF%, metabolism, and most importantly your BMR.

Google "BMR calculator" to find out how many calories you need to eat just to maintain weight. Then, you can decide what % of that needs to be split up between fat, carbs, and protein.

Go with fibrous & starch, 1 or 2 each with each meal.

Beans, so many to choose from. Beans are a great choice!
Brown rice, goes great with EVO & tuna.
Sweet potatoes and regular ones as well.
Whole wheat bread
Fruits
And the very important green veggies, don't forget these because they're vital.

ehh.. i agree with everything u said minus this. u eat often thru the day and only sleep at a certian point. you shiould be able to get all the cals u need while ur awake so u can have un interpted sleep. after all sleep time is limited. u want to stay in REM sleep as long as possible and getting up to eat will distrupt this. when ur awake eeat. when ur sleeping... sleep!

I vote sleep > night-snack. 7-8 uninterrupted hours sleeping would most likely do more for you than waking up to take in some protein. This is assuming that you already take a pre-bed meal/shake.

Sleep is vital, no doubt. And, this depends on the person. If your one that has trouble getting back to sleep after awakening then this would not be a good setup...the extra meal. As for myself I hit the pillow and I'm out. I've talked to many over the yrs. that had trouble gaining and once they added the mid-night meal the gained. But like I said, depends on the person.

I wonder if there's studies on this? That would be cool. Hmmmm.....

They should do studies on a slow release protein meal/drink before bed VS a mid-night one. I'm on the Size Surge routine right now...week 2. And haven't added in the late night snack, but will be doing so soon. Will see how it goes, in yrs. past I did quite well with it.
