5x5 Noob question

Hi folks, first post for me here!

I'm 32 yrs old, 6'0 and about 210 right now. I'm just starting 5x5 the default version on madcow's site. I've been working out for a long time but not too serious about it and I want to start a bulk for the winter months. My question, or concern is: Coming from a workout that had more volume in terms of varying sets of isolation previously I feel kind of like I haven't really done much when I get through with 5 sets of 3 excercises... and I'm not sore really yet. I'm guessing that further along the line when I start hitting PRs this will happen? I'm thinking now that I've been overtraining....

My diet is good and I gain weight fairly easily.

Thanks

I'm starting a 5X5 too. It's proven to work so I'm not going to screw around with it, however, there are some additions to the plan that are ok. You can add some pullups/chins/pushups to the end and do core work. That's what I've been doing and feeling worked at the end of each workout.......wait a few weeks when you bump the weights up a bit more.
