Also, from one ectomorph to another, you have to stay determined and consistent. There are going to be times when circumstances arise that hinder you from your goals, but nonetheless, you should strive to reach your goals with all of your heart and mind. If you want it bad enough, you can get great results.

If you have a hard time putting on weigh (as in muscle mass and fat), then you should be eating as much as you can on a consistent basis. Don't weigh yourself down with junk food, but eat clean, and eat a lot! Try to get about 1.5g of protein per pound of bodyweight. Other than that, I'd say eat to your heart's content. You should start seeing an increase in weight eventually. If not, then you should eat some more. Don't worry about putting on fat, because since we put on weight at super slow rates, we don't have to worry about that aspect too much. I do worry about health though, so that's why I don't recommend super dirty bulking. You can look into weight gainers too, or make your own at home; there are plenty of recipes on the internet.

As far as your training regime, you'll have to find out what works best for you. I've experimented with various workouts, ideas, and principles over the years, and I'm still figuring out what works best for me.

Train hard, train smart, and don't give up if you don't see immediate results! Results come with hard training and time! You have to set up your gameplan and run with it!
