    you can "bulk" on any routine, but lifting heavy is always a must, whether powerlifting or using higher rep schemes.

    Powerlifting is beneficial as it increases strength, which every weightlifter needs, but it won't cause hypertrophy as drastically as bodybuilding regimens.

    Also a five day split powerlifting routine wouldn't be the best option, from my experience. Read up on the subject, check out t-nation or google powerlifting workouts and search here on the forum.

    Edit: you're 5'5" 135lbs, you need to start with reasonable goals - learn the lifts and get form down pat BEFORE attempting powerlifting. Lookup "Starting Strength" by Mark Rippetoe and Alwyn Cosgrove. Great beginner programs

    Try:

    monday=chest/shoulders
    tuesday=back/traps
    wednesday=off
    thursday=arms
    friday=legs/calves

    or

    monday=chest/tri
    tuesday=back/bi
    wednesday=off
    thursday=shoulders/traps
    friday=legs/calves

    Thursday-Back
    Friday-Shoulders/Traps

    Depends on whateva works best for u but learn routines first then youll be on your way cuz im still on my way
