Ok, so i started RPM/DRIVE on sunday. Great workout! Monday went to the doc cus my previous blood work came back with slightly high blood sugar, I didnt fast for it. So i fast sunday night go in monday & it is still high. Doc puts me on Glucophage. Now is the Naringin going to be a problem with the Glucophage? thx.
Although RPM and Drive work independent of the insulin pathway (neither cause hyperglycemia nor hypoglycemia), as far as I can see, this is not a question to be answered with a resounding "yes" or "no". It would depend on the particular individual, his lifestyle, age, and amount and frequency of Glucophase (Metformin) intake. In general, the naringin in RPM and Drive may work to extend the bioavalability and half-life of Glucophage, making it work longer and,
possibly, aggravate its sides. For instance, an overdose of Glucophase can lead to low blood sugar levels with symptoms such as confusion, hunger, headache, fast heartbeat, drowsiness, dizziness, weakness, tremors, sweating, convulsions, fainting, or coma. These are symptoms related to lactic acidosis (weakness, increasing sleepiness, slow heart rate, cold feeling, muscle pain, shortness of breath, stomach pain, or fainting).
Altogether, RPM and Drive, by working independent of insulin, should, in general, be fine with Glucophase, if the Glucophase dosage is low (how low is low should be established by a medical professional). Yet, it might make sense to have expert monitoring of blood sugar levels during RPM/Drive/Glucophase supplementation. My 0.02 $!
