I had some problems with me being light headed and like a seizure (it was not a seizure but it felt like one).I went to the doctor and found out my heart blood pressure is extremely lower then the average person. He said my blood pressure is what he would see in marathon runners. As everyone should know im not a runner lol. So i have to go see a cardiologist and get some test done. He said there might be nothing wrong with my heart and thats just the way my body is, but he wants to be safe and have test done. So he advised me to stop taking my supplements and do just light workouts so i can at least try and keep my size lol I pray nothing it wrong but we shall see.

The week off might help you recover and prevent overtraining. If you're curious about what you experienced, google Hypotensioin and look into that. Vasodilation can cause lowered BP, but not usually to the point where you get that light-headed. However sometimes upon serious exertion in the gym we see stars and get lightheaded just from the amount of blood going to the muscles. Google Effort Syncope in this case.

Good luck in the gym, and if you do have any further unexplained issues definitely go back and see your doctor.

I just saw this -- I was diagnosed in 2004 with having an aneurysm of my ascending aorta -- I was completely freaked out for about three weeks, till a thoracic surgeon looked at it, said the tissue was neither stretched nor uneven, and asked if I'd done a lot of weightlifting when I was younger. "Yeah", I replied, not sure where he was going.

"Did you do heavy singles? Deadlifts? Squats?"

"Yeah"

"You don't have an aneurysm," he said, "what you have is an athletic adaptive development -- your aorta grew to match the stress you were putting on it at a time when you hit a growth spurt. As long as it stays stable, you have no problems."

My aorta is about 4.3 cm -- most people's is around 2.5 cm. It's been stable for 5 years now, with no change. Check with a specialist used to sports medicine on almost anything related to your cardiovascular system. Your average general practitioner doesn't know squat (or deads, or benches <grin>).

My own doctor told me I was working way too hard in the gym for someone age 54, coming out of back surgery -- then I lost 43 pounds in six months and brought my own BP down to 109/58, without meds. He shut up.

Good luck, bro!

Let us know what the find out bro. I'm believe NOTHING for you! It was a fluke. That is what we'll go with for now OK? Sorry, I'm a positive thinker and I believe our minds control more than we think they do, don't let me throw you off with this. Just think well. You are fine. If something is up, they will find it so no worries. Now let's just believe for nothing in the mean time. What do you got to lose right?
