Animal Snak Protein Bars, Allergy Concern

I may be allergic to pollen. It usually affects my sinuses. I noticed that the Snak bars contain bee pollen. Should I avoid the Snak bars, or will the bee pollen not have any negative effect on me? I'm allergic to bee stings, but possibly not their pollen. Still unsure.

M,

I think this question may be best directed to your doctor or health care professional or an ears, nose, throat specialist concerning specific allergies.

I have terrible sinuses and I absolutely loved these bars and had no problem whatsoever with them; but then again I am not allergic to anything. Also being allergic to the pollen could be just the smell of it and not the actual taste. I seriously doubt there is enough of the pollen in there to disrupt any nasal cavity issues. However; I would rather err on the side of precautions and discuss them with your doctor...

If you wanted to be risky you could always take a bite and adjust from there to see how you react/etc. But to be safe, I would recommend asking your doctor as there is no telling what spurs what reaction when dealing with allergies, etc.

Your best bet bro would be to consult your physician and show him the ingredients in one of the bars to see if it will cause you to have an allergic reaction to the product.

Thanks a lot for the feedback and concern, guys. I really appreciate it. I'm looking forward to trying these bars so I'm hoping that my allergies won't be affected by consuming them. I'd like to buy a couple boxes.

You know what really sucks... I'm deadly allergic to peanuts. I was gonna by a couple boxes too until I found out thats their only flavor.:fool2: There goes my chance at any bodybuilding bar. Oh well, at least I can have the shakes... bars just seem so convenient though.

Well, come to find out, consuming bee pollen, in no way, has any effect on initiating a sinus allergy response. Consuming it is different than inhaling it. So, I just may end up buying a box.

I would definitely not take the product, just in case. No sense taking an unnecessary risk, right brother?
