    I just received my cookie batter but no baking instructions. Can anybody give me an idea of how to make these?


  2. Here's what I do to make a single serving cookie:
    Mix 4 tablespoons of cookie mix with ~1 tablespoon of milk. I put the "dough" on a sprayed tray and bake it in the toaster oven at 350 degrees for roughly 5mins. Let cool and enjoy.

  4. Kind of OT, but anyone experience bad gas or diarrhea from these as they contain lots of sugar alcohols?

  5. I would think you shouldn't unless you consume a large amount in one sitting or are extremely sensitive to the Alcohol sugars.

    I can barely eat those hard candies with SA and these don't cause any prolems.

  6. Yeah the candies are off limits for me, guess the worst I can do is try a small amount of mix. Might as well try the Chaos too while I'm at it.

  7. I bake at 350 for about 12 minutes. Adding a little olive oil to the batter helps them to not stick to the cookie sheet. I have eaten a 1/2 lb of mix at 1 sitting with no GI issues.

  8. How do you guys know baking, let alone microwaving for more than 20 secs won't destroy tha whey?

  9. Baking or microwaving does NOT significantly effect the protein powder.

    While it's true that proteins can be denatured by heat, unless the protein structure is particularly delicate or exposed to extremely high temperatures for extended periods of time, any denaturation that takes place is likely to be minimal.

    It is also important to keep in mind that denatured DOES NOT equal non-nutritious or unavailable - denaturation simply refers to a situation where the physical or chemical structure of a protein is rearranged.

    In some cases the denaturation process is temporary (e.g. whipping egg whites into a foam); in others, such as when you fry an egg, the denaturation is permanent. In both situations, the egg contains the same amino acid makeup and is equally nutritious.

    In fact, the fried egg is actually slightly more nutritious when cooked because cooking inactivates a component that binds the essential B-vitamin biotin.

    Now this being said it is better to bake or microwave whey protein as opposed to exposing to higher temps as in pan frying.

  10. 1 C cookie mix, 1/2C oats(helps hold together), 1/2C skim milk. Pam spray a cookie sheet, bake at 350 for 15min



  11. Nice way to get some complex carbs in too. Unfortunately I'd be eating these at night when my willpower is weak, so I'll just have to deal with a messy cookie cus even though I eat about 500 g carbs a day, after 6-7 PM its straight protein, even on a bulk.

  12. They are still good without the oats, the oats don't really add much flavor it just helps them back up nice and full. Only cook want you plan on eating, everytime I cooked extra for another time they never make it.

    Craisons, oats, egg whites, sliced almonds, pumpkin pie spice,walnuts, granola. Not all at once, I play with ingredients for fun

    Pumpkin pie spice? sounds interesting, I've added sliceda almonds and walnuts and that adds some nice texture.
