I've been blessed to give it a go for AI's new protein and have been sent some samples to try. Here is what I came up with:
Chocolate Beta Protein:
Taste: This stuff is hands down the best chocolate tasting protein I have tasted in my 15 years of training. No aftertaste just smooth chocolate goodness. Seriously it gets a 10/10.
Mixing: Mixed in about 10 oz of milk and this baby mixed like a charm. NO hard shaking, just light. No clumps while drinking, and non at the bottom of my bottle. Really impressed. LG has the only protein that I have seen that hasn't had problems but this one is right up there.
Final Thoughts: This stuff is good, almost too good. I'd like to see the profile when it's released because it would be nice to know the sweetener they used for this. Doesn't taste like sucralose. I would look forward to my shakes if I had the chocolate and trust me I don't like chocolate shakes because they all either taste bad or have a putrid aftertaste. AI has a real winner on their hands. As far as mixability I don't think you can get any better than this. It has a nice fluff to it and when mixed with liquid (milk in this case) all of the dissolving starts right away, even before you begin to shake. This leads to no clumping and non left at the bottom of your shaker, something we all would like in a protein.
I'll be trying the vanilla sample tommorrow and post my conclusions.
