over the next few days, I will record my thoughts on the flavor samples received with my latest ALL THE WHEY purchase. My good man Marcus hooked me up with what appears to be first time ever AM tester flavors. To be tested and evaluated:

everyone's favorite cinnamon bun isolate

Chocolate Orange

~refreshing scent, I love citrus

~mixed very easily, with 2% milk

~initial taste of a light chocolate drink, with citrus undertones

~light aftertaste of orange

overall, very enjoyable, light tasting, perfect if you don't want a very heavy protein drink. Possibly buy in small quatity, but would like to compare to chocolate protein with added orange juice?

Chocolate Mint

~strong whiff of cocoa and subdued mint cream

~mixed very easily, in 2% milk

~perfect balance of chocolate and mint

This is really one of my favorite flavors. I had bought a 5 pounder of this in the past, and was reminded why - it rocks! The flavor reminds me of the small chocolate mint candies Andes. The only problem with choco-mint is that the flavors make it tough to add fruit. However, this flavors remains one of my top choices, maybe top 3.



Melt-A-Way : so far, I like the clean focus and energy it delivers. Not too strong at min. dose. Really made me sweat though at gym. to be continued.

Cinnamon Bun

~AKA the benchmark from which all else is judged

~ smell of snickerdoodle cookie, mmmm

~mixes very well, looks like pancake batter

~tastes great, not as rich as actual cinnabun, but very distinct

I instantly fell in love with this flavor, and have made it one of my top 3 proteins. Mixes great, tastes great. I can add blueberries or strawberries and not have to worry about flavors clashing. Can add vanilla or chocolate, and still have it be good. Very versatile flavor. Can add cinnamon to make it stronger, but I like it as is. I continue to make this my go to protein.

Vanilla Milk Protein Isolate

~very thick mixing, clumpy

~looks & smells like white bisquick

~best done with WATER

If you mix it with water, PATIENTLY, what you get is a creamy end result. The flavor is not very strong, and could use a boost. Reminds me of almost a cross between whip cream and pudding. I like to pre-mix a scoop or two, then use it to add to me other protein drinks, increasing the slow digesting action and makes it more filling. However, it does dilute the flavor of whatever you add it to. Works great with berries in a smoothie. I also like to dip strawberries in it directly. (I'm a little lad who loves BERRIESSSSSS and CREAMMMMMM!)

EXCLUSIVE COFFEE ISOLATE

~nice coffee scent, not too strong

~did not mix as smoothly as the others, but still good

~had a creamy coffee taste, could benefit from stronger coffee flavoring

I did enjoy this flavor. I mixed it with milk, so it was creamier tasting. It could benefit from a stronger coffee flavor, giving it a mochachino type flavor. I added a little real coffee as well, just to compare. Maybe needs a little more sweetener? I think all the whey could have a winner approaching with a little more tweaking. I would definately give this one a second try once it is released.

EXCLUSIVE KEY LIME

~did remind me of pie

~has a color similar to pale green cheesecake?

~pleasant taste, easy mix

When I mixed this up, the milk was not very cold, so I think that effected the results. However, though many anticipate this one, I was not very inspired. Not to be a buzz kill, but I just was not feeling it entirely. I would maybe like to see a creamier end result. I think a little mpi mixed in could have benefitted, acting as a mousse. I was not entirely sold on this, just did not tickle my fancy.

ORANGE LEAN AND FIT

~instant orange color, but smell reminded my of flintstones vitamins

~mixed easily, however, I used water

~also tested with orange juice

This one was my mistake. I did not have milk, so made it with water. This flavor would work well as and orange creamsicle if you had milk, or added mpi. With water it was dull and vitaminny. With added OJ, tasted better. Could benefit from a closer mimicking of true citrus acidity.



MELT-A-WAY UPDATE: Still only taking 1 serving in morning. Stream of energy is smooth, focused. Nothing crazy. It has also been hot here, so thermo effect is hard to distinguish, but worked up a solid sweat in the gym while maintaining workout energy. Also, appetite has not been as ravishing as usual, so the suppression is good. Like it so far, might step up dosage soon.

vanilla swirl

omg this flavor was absolutely amazing, with and unepecting smell, I had big dreams for this one. I usually say you can't be let down if you don't expect the world, but this lived up too my personal hype and then some. Tasted like vanilla cupcake batter, smooth rich and delicious. garlllllllll!

I would immediately pick this one up when it becomes available, it is a true winner! I mixed in water, and it was amazing. I am sure it would be great with milk as well, and if a cinnabun fanboy like myself, combine a little of the two for a true rich taste.
Very versatile, I foresee combining this with the regular vanilla mpi, as that is very bland and uninspiring. all the vanilla would benefit from an upgrade using this flavor system.

a really unique flavor could also be made from this one if formulated properly, based off of the cupcake funfetti mix. adding red and blue flavor crystals would be awesome, can market as cupcake funfetti.

Marcus, push this one along, it might be the best thing to come out of the paoli warehouse.
cinnabun is my gold standard, but this is my new favorite flavor.


MYSTERY FLAVOR!!!

hmm, looks like cinnamon bun, smells like cinnamon bun...
oh wait, little richer smell...oh I like this.

I mixed it with water, with a small cup of cinnamon bun next to it to compare. Richer than cinnabun, creamier, slightly lighter color. My conclusion - ATW is experimenting with exactly what I suggested, adding a little vanilla swirl to the cinnabun to update the flavor. The verdict - awesome!!! Very sweet and rich, but aren't real cinnamon buns thick buttery rich and sweet? if this mystery flavor is a cinnamon bun update, I am blown away.

these flavors rock! congrats, get them both.



melt-a-way update: sweaty cause its hot, but like the smooth focus. though venom is my go to, this can be a contender if the price is right as an alternate.

VANILLA SWIRL is like a dream come true. Syntrax vanilla was my favorite vanilla, but I did not like the make up of the protein itself. I have been looking for a new vanilla for a long time, only to be disappointed continually.

I'm telling you man, you will not be disappointed, absolutely amazing. I can't wait for this stuff. Definate 1-2 knockout with cupcake and cinnabun.



Marcus, I am assuming the mpi and isolate vanillas have a different taste? I let someone else try the vanilla, as I thought the mpi would be the same? but it doesnt seem like it is, almost no flavor at all in the mpi?
