| Registered User | Atw...???? Now I don't know, maybe it's just me,but just about every time I take this protein I get real bad gas and some diarrhea. So, I go and use another protein(some other companies protein), and it stops.I only use one or two scoops at a time. And take it maybe three times a day.I try to get most of my protein from whole foods, and I use this to supplement my protein intake. So I was just wondering if there was anybody else going through this?Or maybe it's just me getting used to this protein?if anybody has any thoughts on this, I would love to hear them. |

| Gold Member | Do you also eat food when drinking protein? If you do remember 1 scoop is 25 grams of protein. If your doing 2 and eating food thats a TON of protein. To much protein= POO POO usually wet as you are saying....... I don't know how long you have been drinking ATW but whenever I try a new protein I get that too. If you like the protein make that your only protein for a week and see if that helps. Good luck Mr. Squirts!!!! |

| Registered User | I have the same problem with just about any whey that contains lactose. Enzymes help but I've finally folded and just started to use Protein Isolates. Isolates don't contain lactose and are easier on the GI tract. The only draw back is that it is a little more expensive but ATW brand is fairly reasonable for isolates. I'm currently using ATW Isolates without a problem. Good luck. |

| Registered User | i would say that is definitly it. Start using Isolates. I had terrible problems with designer. Now have little problems with ON which is a blend. I'm going to switch to 100%. I know I am lactose intolerant too. I can tolerate a little milk, but not much. |

| NIMBUS NUTRITION Co Founder Board Sponsor | I agree with those above....Try Whey Isolate. I have bowel issues with Whey concentrate, but no trouble with Isolate... That said, I have tried ATW's Whey Complex (Isolate/Concentrate Blend), with no problems. That speaks well for the quality of protein ATW puts out. They also have the best prices period... You may also try consuming your protein slower if your taking it by itself. Whey absorbs very quickly. If you chug it down to fast, your digestive system may not be able to process it properly. If you take it with some healthy fat(Flax/Fish/CLA/Sesamin) it will slow down the digestion and make it much easier on the stomach. I wouldn't do this post workout though.... Good luck! |
