Chocolate MPI Review

Well I recieved my sample pack today in the mail...Still waiting for some ProNola!. Anyway I couldn't wait to try it out. I mixed it with water. I mix all my protein with water. Anyway this mixes well for any casein product, as most of you know casein is bitch to mix. Compared to all other casein products though I consider this well mixing. I did have to scrape down the sides of the blender a few times but that is expected with casein. The texture is not at all gritty like the plain MPI, if you have tried it you know what I mean. There is no hint at all of the taste/smell of the regular older version of this product. It goes down smooth and an has a light chocolate taste. Not too chocolately, not too rich. I am sure though if you use less water and/or use milk it will taste stronger and have a more distint flavor to it. I used about 10 oz of water, I am sure you will have to scape the sides a lot more if you use less water but it all depends on your tastes/preferences. I love this stuff, now only we could the price a little lower. I think it is around $24 for 2.5 pounds. Still a good deal, but $20 for 2.5 pounds and I'm sure you will sell out in a few days!

Oh.....Thank God - I was afraid to mail it out!!!!! Seriously, I think that this one is a winner. You are right, it is normally 24 but I am dropping it to 22 for Board Members.

I will anxious to hear how anyone else feels - I sent it to some of my secret friends.

It's easy to find BSL-flavored MPI for less than $8/lb from a variety of customizers. I won't post the links here, but it seems that to be competitive you'll need to match $8/lb.

Bump for this. MPI is pretty cheap. I think the price will have to drop to keep up with competition. I pay $6.69 per pound online. I hope ATW can bring it, 'cause I much prefer to support our sponsors!

Thanks Laura. So i assume that a 1oz serving is 28.4g? Sorry i'm pretty bad with non-metric units.

I've got to add to this thread. I forgot to tell everyone how great the Chocolate Mint MPI is. Its so much better than the chocolate mint whey blend!. I mean don't get me wrong the whey blend version is good...But this Chocolate Mint MPI is so damn good. On my carb load day I mixed it with milk and some cream and it tasted exactly like Mint Chocolate Ice Cream!. I mean if you were to blindfold anyone and have them taste a mint chocolate ice cream shake, and the chocolate mint mpi mixed with milk and a little light cream, they could not tell the difference!!. I didn't try it with water so I wouldn't know if it was as good in water. They only reason I didn't purchase this flavor was because I would think it would tempt me to much to add light cream and milk to it every time, and god knows my fat ass doesn't need that!
