what is the difference in whey protein concentrate, and isolate. I do understand that isolate is better I just don't know why.

concentrate has some carbs and fats in it, which generally improve the taste. isolate is made with a "trace" of fat and <1g carbs.

Isolate allows you to get a slightly higher percentage of protein per volume.

The reason all of this is so is because Isolate consists of a much smaller amount of lactose.

so is it really worth the extra money to get the isolate. It is a lot more expensive.

If you can afford it, it's definately worth it. But if not something is always better than nothing at all.

found this on a search as the concentrate/isolate issue confuses me a bit to.

so those who have an intolerance to lactose would HAVE to use the isolate but for the rest of us then i suppose you maybe able to throw in a few eggs/egg-whites to improve the protein.

when buying in bulk there's an enormous differance in price between the 2 to question the results-to-price ratio.
