Funny I was polishing a cast iron specimen with a belt sander yesterday and a guy let the specimen slip...his thumb got "polished" about an 8th of an inch haha....just make sure it's about 6" or so when you do it Truth.

Lol I would have been a tad bit more merciful and used either 180 or 240, well not merciful...it would take longer hahahaha , 60 might just do

Good lord. I've only used 100 to get rust off of the floor and chassis of my '72 Buick when I was restoring it. I didn't even know they made grit that low...
