Where has the Endorphin high gone?

I'm 50 and have worked out off on on since my 20's. I've been at it religeously for about 5 years. Up until about 40-45, I would get that euphoric endorphin high that we all love.
It's our post workout reward for busting ass lifting. It's as good a high as any drug I've ever used. And totally natural.

I can't get that endorphin rush any more. BW is all good. No adrenal fatigue? I work out 5 days a week and do cardio. I can't excercise any harder. But I'm not overtraining.
No matter what I try I can't get it back.
I loved that feeling about 15-30 minutes after working out.
I felt like I could throw my car across the street.

Anyway, it's probably just old age......Is there anything I've overlooked? :frustrate

Try taking two weeks completely off. Then go back and see what happens.

Taking time off is good for your CNS. I always feel better after taking 2 weeks off and hitting it back up. Also look into ergopharm's amp... it really gives you that endorphin kick.

instead of two weeks off, consider doing alaternative exercise: hiking, yoga, tennis, basketball, cycling, swimming, pilates, core training, dancing, etc. You might find the novelty rejuvenating. Save the rest for actual sickness and recovery.
