Dwight Schrute

I am faster than 80% of all snakes
Here is their new home. Be kind or you get the boot from them :)

Give me a few years... ;)

Aaaah WTF, when I was 21 I figured I'd be dead by now anyway.

Yeah....keep those old farts out of the "real" forum. Let them go chat about aches and pains, uncontrollable bowel movements. Us young guys can stay out in the real world :D

I'm doing some research on explosive power training for the elderly (seriously). Any of you guys willing to participate in a study??  :toofunny:

OK I'll stay out now.

:icon_lol:  :toofunny:

Got to admit, that was a good one.

us eldery guys should get senior citizen discounts on joint care supps. Probably cialis and viagra too.

Ahhh......to be young again!........

The only thing we old guys have going for us, is that u young dudes are guaranteed to get old and feel like we do now, so talk while u can, we never thought we would be this age this fast either, but we stil dont look like most other guys our age, thats our revenge :)

Anyone have any advice on brisk morning walks, magnetic bracelets, or gardening they'd like to share? Here's my contribution for us older folks:

I'm 47, and I'm sure I could whoop the ass off my 37-year-old self.

I was diagnosed with spinal stenosis at the age of 31 - old war wounds from professional tennis. By the time I hit 37 I couldn't bend down to tie my shoes without throwing my back out for a month. The doctors told me that I would end up in a wheel chair by 50 if I didn't have surgery. I decided to ignore them.

Now, at the age of 47, and without any surgery, I can deadlift 365lb for two sets of 8 from the floor. I don't pay attention to my age. Instead I listen to my body. Maybe I'll live a long life, and maybe I won't. But one thing is for sure; I will die fighting, and with my boots on. The slow drip method just aint my style.

Hey, you AARP folks need to mobilize (on your scooters that is) and help us keep the supplements legal!
We all know you are feinin' for some DHEA.

(I remember SJA salivating over Custom's DHEA deal.....)

Hehehehe

That statement is not always true...age is nothing but a number to me. I'm 35y/o and I don't look and feel nothing like my age. If you take care of the body...it will take care of you. ;)

youth is wasted on the young
...and this post shows wisdom beyond the posters very numerous years... :p
thing is it took me all those very numerous years to understand just what that saying really meant.

Old age comes much too soon and wisdom much too late :(

Hey, I'll share my stories with you bastards...LOL. Not everyday I get all this recent attention from younger ladies. And... owe it all to AM, who saved me from being a fat ass almost 40 year old divorced dude.

We Old Farts can have our uses. I don't know how many guys I have introduced to Beta-Sitosterol, Green Tea, NAC, ALCAR, RALA, Policosonol, RYR, Celery Seed, Garlic etc. It must be as many as I have started on BP Rack Extensions, Weighted DIPS, DB Pullovers, MaxOT etc. When they see you getting it on in the gym they sooner or later have to ask, "How do you do it?", "Are you really that old?" I wrote the following recently on another board, but it fits here so I'll insert it;
".... in my view, all these 35 to 40 yr olds are, relatively speaking, just teenagers. I am and will stay, God willing, healthy for many more years. Thanks to my training, supplementation and diet, I enjoy a quality of life, healthwise, that 99% of my fellow seniors envy. To me, a 40 yr old, is a mature youngster making a committment to health and happiness for the next 60 years of their lives. They are not just making the typical teenager/20 yr old decision to get big and strong. A few years older and wiser, they are usually coming to grips with life and our mortality. While the former are often too young to make lifelong, lifestyle committments, the latter are really ready to make them and keep them. For those who go so far as to come here to this forum to discuss it, I like their chances and their choices. Nah, the're not too young, they're just coming of age!"

In the company of your sort of character and wisdom it is always a pleasure and flattering to be called "kid", even, and more so, especially, at the age of 40. I will atest to the fact that at 40 I am finally equipt with the disciplines, resolve and mestery of my being to be the man that I had only dreamed I was when I was 10-15yrs younger.

I'm no big deal, I just try to continue to learn, and to try what I learn that fits my age and objectives. In the process I get to meet and observe a lot of interesting troops. With respect to my post, you would make a great avatar to exemplify my observations.

I'm in the same boat as well. I look better now at 38, then I did when I was 28, or ever for that matter. In fact, due to my change, I even look 5 years younger. I feel great too.

You magnificent bastards.....I hope I look as good as you guys when I'm old :bow28:
