Wow , fast reply , thanks for the welcome Driven2lift , I've been researching TRT for a while now and decided to see my GP for tests. I've suffered depression/anxiety for about 8 years and been on 3 different ssri meds , all work too a point but tend to squash the highs and kill libidio , so I'm looking for others causes . I had my test bloods done and found I was on the bottom of the range so I decided to go to a specialist clinic as GP says it's normal.

these are my results
Test at 8:25 am 10.6 nmol/l range 10-35
SHGB 26 nmol/l range 10-50
calc free T 230 range 225-725
FAI 40.8 range 20-160
DHEAS 3.9 umol/l range (2.4-11.6)
FSH 4U/l range <9
LH 1U/l Range <8
Oestradiol 310 pmol/l Range <190

Test is obviously on the low side of "normal" and Oestradiol is High . the Dr gave me Androforte 5 cream (50mg/ml) but the woman who runs the centre recommended trying Arimidex first (0.5mg twice a week) as Oestradiol was high and test may increase if aromatization is reduced.

Any thoughts/concerns/advise on this ???

Thnaks

I would heed their advice to try the arim first.

Using an AI may free up more test, see how you feel with it and go from there

Your initial post said considering TRT,

Was that what you had questions about in the event it happened?

After I had my first blood test I was finished considering and ready to commit , seeing my test level at 306 ng/dl made that decision easier . But the oestradiol being high has added another variable to consider being 84.5 pg/ml . Also LH seems low to me , really was considering just trying the AI or adding the test as well as the AI.
I am eager to feel good after so many years. ie always tired , no motivation , zero libido harder to maintain weight etc

why don't you try herbal test boosters before you go to TRT
and see how your blood test will go

Herbal test boosters don't do anything with regards to actually increasing test levels and if there is a tiny increase, it is negligible. They can help with mood, energy, and assist with free test increases, but not overall.

OP- you mentioned that you were going to see a specialist. Have you done so or is this still waiting to happen? There are plenty of us with many years of TRT experience and can share details leading up to and during TRT, but I would recommend continuing the specialist route and see what they say.

I have been to the specialist , not an Endo , a person who had enough of the medical communities attitude and decided to research more herself , she got together a group of like minded Dr's and did a lot of research/training in London with male hormone specialists.
I did a counselling session with her that took 3hrs so they could get an idea of personality/issues etc. I had another blood test to confirm the results and saw the DR , he gave me Adroforte 5 cream which is made here in perth under TGA approval. The owner of the centre said she had not seen such high E2 before with low T and suggested I might try 0.5 Arimidex before the test to be taken twice weekly , of which I have done for 1 week.
Not sure if I can name the Centre but they seem to be more concerned with health than big profits .
TSH Nov 2014 1.73 (0.40-4.00)mU/l

TSH April 2015 2.71mU/l

Prolactin was tested in June 2012 351mlU/L (86-324mlU/L)
Cortisol was 614 nmol/L (171-536)
TT was 360 ng/dl at this time
all results are fasting in the morning

Show me the medical research on these herbs and the benefit that that provide with regards to increase in test that match real world results. Don't live on a study and assume it is true. This isn't some new breakthrough I am bringing to you, this is all well known. Herbs provide minimal, if any, increases to total testosterone and any effect outside of mood and energy are negligible.

with all due respect there are hundreds of research studies showing and proving
that claim, i am 40 and using herbs with great success
TRT should be always anyone's last option after trying natural test boosting first
check out pine pollen powder - Shilajit - Tribulus Terrestris 90% Saponins for example

Absolutely TRT is a last option, that we can agree on. However, I'd be interested to know if you are basing "success" on feel or actual lab work showing the increase in test and what that increase was if so?

i didn't have any lab test as it is very expensive in my country
but i can assure you that libido is the same when i was in my early 20's
and building muscle at 40 is great, and the aggressive mode is so intense, and working out very hard at the gym
all this is signs of good testosterone levels
before i switch to herbs i was feeling very low, low libido
loosing gains very fast after AS cycles, gaining fat all that was
signs of low testosterone levels which was improved on the usage of herbs
