Gynecomastia - Man Boob - Surgery
For those who had their insurance company pay for the surgery, how did you approach the subject with your doctor?
I have no issues talking with my doc. But don't want to roll into his office and say "how can we get the insurance company to pay?"
In my right chest, I've always had a small amount of fat/breast tissue. The harder I work, the more defined the area becomes, and bugs me more.
Welcome any and all feedback.

I have very good insurance and don't need referrals from my PCP so I went directly to a chest surgeon and got his opinion. Fortunately for me, he seemed to know how to massage the system and recommended removal of the lump for analysis...ie to test for cancer, which I was slightly concerned about. Had it removed, tested, came back as gyno, and no giant bill from the insurance company. I'd feel bad about it, but I pay a ton of money for the coverage and NEVER use it.

I'm on a HSA plan, so I will be paying the first ~2,000 of the bill.
Thanks for the input!
