How long do you think some one could stay on HRT before risking being shut down for life?
Im a 50 year old male who definitely feels better on than off..
I have been on TRT for 6 months but I still struggle to resign myself to being on for life. Its not that I feel overly bad on my own natural test..
My levels before taking hrt were 13 nmol/L

Im thinking of staying on HRT for a year or two then taking a break and using HGH and Clomid to kick start my own test / pituitary gland for a while.. Then going back on..

Another words a very long cycle.. At my age, whats the longest I should stay on TRT for risking permanent shut down?

Of course you can get back to where you were before you went on TRT. It may take a while, but 6 months is just a cycle for most. Get some proper PCT and you'll be back to where you were prior to TRT. Once you stabilize, you can try Clomid or anything else. Remember thought that you'll be back to "normal," and not at a higher level. In fact, you may find yourself at a lower level, but still producing your own test.

With proper post-cycle therapy, you can usually return to your normal test levels within a matter of weeks. If you are using HCG while on TRT it makes PCT easier because it keeps your Leydig cells plumped up and better able to respond to SERMs.

My endo mentioned that he has had numerous clients that were sent to him incorrectly diagnosed with low test back at their normal levels in 3-4 weeks.

Can you clarify this? If patients were incorrectly diagnosed for low test, then why would they need treatment for it?

They were incorrectly diagnosed with low T from their doctors, went to see the endo and found out it was related to other factors. They began treatment with their doctors before seeing the specialist.

No, I don't, sorry. This was just brought up during conversation when I had my last labs done.

I do work with a couple guys that have been on it for years. One of them was on for a year or so and wanted to see where he would be normally again and stopped for about 6 months. I don't know what he did, but he said that he went back to normal pretty quickly and then decided he preferred to be where TRT had him so he is back on.

So it sounds like they were correctly diagnosed with low test, except the correct cause was not accurately determined by the first set of docs.
