The insurance will pay that much. Dr will not prescribe that much but you can blast / cruise

The prescription through my urologist is for a 10ml vial a month. It states that I'm to use .7ml weekly. Plenty of doctors prescribe the 10ml vials and I believe it costs the insurance company less than the multiple 1ml vials I would need for the month. They are trusting that you won't abuse it. The doc said each vial is good for a year so I'll have quite a collection in a few months.Originally Posted by grngoloco

The best part is it's only $10 a month. If I ever lose insurance ill be able to get by for a while.

My stupid mail order just gives me the 1 ml vials. Even without my doctor would write a 10 ml as 90 days

If that's the case can't you get 2 1ml vials and have insurance cover your monthly presciption instead of paying extra for the other 8ml? It is hard to get 2 full 50mg doses out of each vial but I have done it.Originally Posted by ohiostate2827

The vials are slightly overloaded, 1.1-1.2ml/vial

Seems like its working out for you since you've been using it for a long time. I wasn't absorbing much of testim and went to shots after a month. I didn't like putting it on everyday either. My test cyp presciption is the only positive about my doctor. I have to really push to get minimal testing, his protocols are outdated, and he won't prescribe hcg or an ai if necessary.Originally Posted by PumpDogg

With androgel 1% having 10% absorption,, the best you can hope for is @ 100mg of absorbed test a week... that's with 12 pumps a day .... with that much gel caked up on you, your kids will never grow over four feet tall and will have mustaches at 8 yrs old... and your wife's clit will be the size of a plum.... all that for almost $1000 w/o insurance,,, for $100 a month you can go up to 500mg a week if you wish, and you know your family is safe, as well as knowing exactly how much your getting!!!Originally Posted by breezy11

What does your blast and cruise look like..see many diff protocols all over the web?

Not sure if your asking me but I've never done it. I'm having a hard enough time trying to get my health together with my prescribed dose. I actually haven't used ph's or cycled anything before. Maybe ill consider it in the distant future since the option is there.Originally Posted by ohiostate2827

That's because the details aren't as big a deal when you don't have to worry about recovery. Say you are normally at 100Mg every 5 days. Well that's your cruise, and blast at whatever level + time spam makes sense for your situation. 500 a week of cyp for 12 Weeks, 600 a week of prop for 8 Weeks, whateverOriginally Posted by ohiostate2827

Yeah it's tempting but I have numerous health concerns that I'm currently trying to figure out. At this point it would only complicate everything I'm attempting to resolve.Originally Posted by bigdavid

I start TRT next week and look forward to it. Down side is that the Dr will only give the injections in his office and will not write prescriptions.

That could work. I don't know if you would have to pay for each of these office visits but if that's the case you could add that to the argument. However, if the doc makes all his money from in office injections or doesnt trust you for some reason I doubt anything would help.Originally Posted by ohiostate2827

On the other hand, if you somehow get him to let you do it at home.......lol.....well, all you got to do is follow his directions up until about three weeks out from blood work and at that time stop your shots and you will for sure still be low and he will see a need to up your dose a bit to try and get you in range. After you do that a few times you will be getting a pretty hefty dose.
When it comes to doing such things you have to really be carful as to know exactly when your doc expects the blood work cause if he calls you one day and say "hey, I need you to come in and give me blood today".......lol.....if your in the middle of a mini cycle of double or triple what he thinks your taking......well, lets just say he want be pleased.
BTW, I had that to happen to me. What I did was this: I told the doc's nurse that called that I was on my way out of town and that I would not be back in town for a couple of weeks...........problem solved...........lol........ju st don't been seen during said time by anyone that may drop the dime on you. As a matter of fact the less people you tell your on trt the better off you are.

Some people begin trt due to serious health concerns and are just looking to live a functional life. If you are always fooling the doctor you will never know for yourself where you stand at certain doses (without private testing) and are putting your health at risk.
