I did this ~2 years ago - pre, during, and post-break re training, etc. were logged in The Female Terminator Chronicles - day it happened post #145. Wait until you get your cast off - or at least until you can't feel pain. You want any cardio you do to NOT jolt your wrist or put pressure on it.

If you're concerned about keeping muscle mass, then just eat at Maintenance - whether you keep it or lose it will depend more on your NUTRITION than your training.

Carefull doin the stair master as you need to use your hands sometimes for balance. Id just hit the treadmill to start out with, 20 to 30 minutes. You can play with incline and speed to fit your needs. Good luck amigo.

When my arm was broken, I maintained well just eating a little cleaner, doing light stationary bicycling and walking. Don't let the cardio go totally. You'll need it when you start rehab and 7+ weeks is a LONG time to be sedentary.

I don't recommend running, since it jolts the wrist too much, Noa - trust me, I tried once and stopped after that because I was in absolute agony.

Oh yea, the jostling of the body is definatly goin to bother anything thats tender. Just a brisk walk on the treadmill or the stationary bike provides that minimum impact.
