Good questions, but yeah generally the longer the half life, the longer the effects. But whether this is advantageous is entirely dependent on what you are trying to achieve.
Haha, nah. Knowing De__eb he would have tried it. I went up to 2.5g, but I felt the sweet spot was between 1.5g and 2g on training days only (as opposed to 500mg every day)
