Deadlifting in custom insoles. Does anyone do this?

  1. Deadlifting in custom insoles. Does anyone do this?

I'm flat footed and I finally bought some custom insoles, but they are cheaper custom insoles from a company online, because well I don't have $500 right now for medical ones. What I'm worried about is, the company states they're only guaranteed for a year. They have helped a lot for walking, but I'm a bit concerned they'll wear the insoles down if I try deadlifting in them. On a side note, I haven't squatted in over a year. My feet are so damn flat, that I can not no matter how light the weight is, have proper form. I'm wondering if these insoles will help with this too.

In my job we call those OTC, they will help, but most likely won't last a year. We normally recommend changing them every 6 months specially if walking alot, or doing things like squats or deads in them.
I mean if you really hate your balls, go for it. But, what did they do to you?

  3. Tried a wider sumo stance for squats? It makes all the difference in the world for me

  4. I would imagine flexibility would be the bigger issue as far as proper form on Deads go. I agree with skraw- try the sumo/wider stance and see if that helps. Also add some mobility work in to loosen up your hamstrings, ankles, and lower thoracic. As for the shoes- I don’t know. Lol I’d trust DC though!

  6. I have flat feet and i don't think it affects my deadlift form. I wear knock off chucks from Primark that cost £8.
