What kind of squat machine is this? What is it called?

So I belong to a gym that is very private (small) and Ive always seen one of these in the corner. I always am using leg press and doing regular squats but after watching this video I think I may start incorporating this exercise into my leg routine. I have never seen this machine at any other gym. Have you guys ever used one before? What do you think of it if you have?

The S & C coach at my college called it a Super Cat, but he also said squats and deadlifts were bad for athletes, so I'm not entirely sure he knew what he was talking about when he called it that.

It is a hack squat machine. You could just do front squats.
